What did you do to your C-body today....

By "refreshed", I'm guessing that 75LandYacht means restore the black finish to those rusty tracks. Mechanism-wise, the tracks are bulletproof in every regard unless they have somehow rusted solid (doubtful....lots of grease from Detroit). It's the motors and the flex drives to the little gearboxes on those tracks that could use some TLC, which is what I did.

Follow-up note: 75LandYacht and I are PMing on this issue.

Pulled the convertible out of the garage this morning intending to attend a car show. Instantly clouded up and began to rain. Put the old girl back in the garage. Our weather sucks this year.

Need some help regarding my Power Seat tracks.. I’d like to have them “refreshed” so to speak. Anyone know of a place I can send them?

If you are handy It wasn't that big of a deal, I would be happy to give you any advice. Take lots of pictures and only do one side at a time. Also have a nice big tray to work off of with a lip there are random ball bearings which you would not want to lose.

Take a look at my thread, it's a good representation of what you would be getting into. Power seat and 4 channel amp

To help pay for my carb rebuild, I sold a set of slots to a friend from FABO today. Had lunch and shot the ****, and I checked out his 2018 Challenger T/A. Sweet ride! He took it for a 5500 mile trip down Route 66 and up the Pacific Coast Highway for his honeymoon with his awesome wife, they loved it. I had the slots for at least fifteen years, was never going to use them with final plans for the car, and they couldn't have found a better home. They will be going on his wife's Valiant, which matches his (well, when his was stock!) I can't wait to see them in person on the car.

Some parts haulers, eh?

FINALLY!!!!!!
I finally had a nice day here and we took the old girl out for a run. It was awesome, looking forward to getting out more.
Still having rad issues but it looks like I found a recent recore at National Moparts. Just waiting for pics before I pull the plug on it. My top tank is cracking so it I will need a core. Quoted 800 to recore so fingers crossed this one is good.

Picked up my carb from my buddy.

Put it on, now I need to check timing, and give the car a tune up, it's running like crap.

I shimmed up my alternator so the belt is straighter.

I also removed a leaky glass fuel filter after the pump. The glass itself wasn't sealing and the smell was growing stronger. Some hose laying around cut to length did the trick. One more step closer to Volo.

Cut and folded two pieces of aluminum screen to fit in the bottom of my front fenders ahead of the doors, to catch debris, especially Live Oak leaves, that gets wedged inside there.

Damn kids! I set my car on fire for being an impatient little curr. Wanted to tune my carb, and had to fix a leak, doing it on the car. I should have waited a bit more, but fired it up. Adjust driver's side, move to passenger side, FOOP! So I got to use my fire extinguisher, which is why I always have it in the car I'm driving. I've had it for many years and it came through. First time I ever used a fire extinguisher, and all I can say is be calm, they work awesome. Pointed it at the bottom of the fire and a split second later it was gone. Only lasted about five seconds, but I still have my car to drive. Time to clean off the powder.

No harm was done due to the flames.

And to top it off, I ran out of gas. :BangHead: Perfect time to fix my lock ring.

DAMN.. glad you’re ok..

Pulled the Driver-side door panel to access the window motor and regulator, I hear and feel the motor turning but the window does not go up and down. It appears it’s a relatively new motor. Attempted to search the forum for a “window regulator repair” thread., none of the ones that came up were what I needed. Can someone direct me to a thread that would help me diagnose and/or remove the motor and or regulator please? Thx
