Nice work! Staining and varnishing the final product I hope!! Let that wood grain show thru!!
Not yet. I need to get some wood filler in the cracks and due some serious sanding before...

Maybe some glue on veneer?
I have some walnut veneer that I'm going to put on it. Hopefully it will compliment the factory woodgrain well.

Started looking for the fouling on #1. Nothing obvious yet.

A little extra carbon on the valves for #1, funny thing is the top of the piston is way cleaner than the others. I am curious about the darker patch on the front outside corner of the head.

Another set of sandblasted and painted parts for Baron, this is maybe the easiest and the cheapest part of this restoration..

Good news, good news, bad news, good news, now work to do.
Finished putting on my lower sill trim, decided it was a good time to go for a spin and top off with gas, nice evening (about 30 degrees) for a drive before snow tomorrow. That was the two good news’s. The bad. Once I got the tank full it started leaking like crazy out the sending unit. I don’t think I got it back in place all the way when I re-positioned my tank and adjusted my sending unit. The good, my fuel gage reads full when the tank is full. Ran it home hoping I didn’t turn into a Roman candle and siphoned out about 12 gallons. Tomorrow I will have to work on the seal to make sure it is centered. It was fine all last year until I messed with it.
Can’t wait for more driving weather

Worked on prettying up exhaust manifolds for when I get my heads back from the shop. Dug out a flywheel to get it surfaced so I'm ready when the new clutch gets here. Just your basic putzing.

I’m for Ala.. you’ll fit right in.. Carlise has ALL kinds of walks of life. It’s kinda like a huge outdoor Walmart.. if you know what I’m say’en lol
I think I am being overly obsessive about C bodies. Last night I dreamed I found a Polara in some guy’s yard. It was in pieces and I was trying to buy it.

I have found 2 Mopars in Alabama I really like, particularly the 65 Chrysler. Pics attached.
