Even so, it would have power brakes (mandated by law now...) and steering. The whole idea that vehicles are legally mandated to have power assisted anything annoys me...

Probably not, I haven't seen any for a long time. My '99 XJ has crank windows, no power locks, and no cruise control. But it has power brakes and steering, both really unnecessary for such a light vehicle. The PS does come in handy when crawling, though. I actually converted both my '66 Polara and 69 Coronet to manual disk brakes. I like the feel, (not to mention never worrying about failing boosters) but my wife doesn't like the high brake pedal.

Friend just bought a Nissan Versa. Crank'em up windows.
yeah it has power steering and brakes. don't think i'd want to drive a 4x4 without them anymore. in my defense though it has rear drums

No back seat and I guess it will depend on the tech. Younger kid may not even know it is plywood lol
