Which Trailer to Buy (and features) for moving 72-73 Imperials around town?

This is the law in PA at least. I have never heard of someone getting ticketed for this on a occasional/pleasure use this is mainly for a for hire or commercial type operations.
Federal law states that any trailer with 10,000# capacity even if empty requires a class A CDL, if you stay in your state your laws will be different and you will be okay till you cross the state line.
A lot of the trailer builders rate a 10,400# trailer as 9990# gvwr to help folks workaround that. Then you need to have a tow vehicle that's rated to pull 10k#, which relates to the engine option as much as the chassis rating. As far as ticketing is concerned, I'd hate to have to deal with an over zealous cop... or find myself getting screwed (could be very bad) during an accident investigation.

Doc, all of your cars are in great shape. To me you'd be better off just driving them to the shop for repairs and save yourself tons of money. Or you could find a guy to flatbed them over for you if necessary.
I just got a barn find Lotus moved on Saturday. We literally winched it 30' out of the barn weaving through the hoarders junk and dragging one wheel. Onto the back of his roll back, over to my house and he dropped it off inside my shop, ready to pick up on my lift.
$75.00

The laws really change if you're involved in commerce. Yes, there have been some cops a few years back that got over zealous in the application of the laws due to some deaths that were caused my people towing woodchippers and such that were not maintained very well, came loose and killed someone.

Aluminum trailers are lighter, but significantly more expense, especially right now thanks to the tariffs that the president has put in place. I would say close to 70% more in cost.

If space to store this beauty wasn't a problem...

I like the concept, but it needs rear fenders

...and the grille fitted into the cavity facing inwards.
