My old TNT Newport came from the factory with painted wheels, whitewalls, & the rare Chrysler caps. I really liked the looks. It also had power windows & seats. It was special ordered by a farmer in Fargo, ND.
LTDs came with alloy wheels with a centre cap, took me ages to find the wheels for my DL as it didn't look right without them. As far as Valiants go, I think even the most standard hubcaps were anything but cheap and nasty, simple perhaps, depending on the model.A lot of the Australian valiant hubcaps were pretty average..... To be fair, the hubcaps on my 1996 Ford LTD were simply terrible - they spoilt the whole car..... Once the wheels were replaced, it looked like a completely new vehcile....

I don't have access to my old valiant photos, so I can't substantiate my claim. I usually had base models because I never had any money back then...I usually swapped them over for chrysler or ford wheels when I could...I recall they were interchangeable back then...LTDs came with alloy wheels with a centre cap, took me ages to find the wheels for my DL as it didn't look right without them.
