YES, YES, YES!!! Firm Feel Rear Sway Bar

Question: does the FF rear sway bar work with TTI dual exhaust for a '71 C body?
Thanks

I can't speak for the 71 but I would imagine you might have some issues. I know on my '66, when I eventually replace my single exhaust that it will need to be a custom dual exhaust installed.
I am fortunate to have an excellent shop.

I would think im the worst case you might have to have a section modified or possibly replaced but any good shop can do this. I think the rear sway bar is well worth it. One of the best improvements I made on my 300.

TTI or Firm Feel should be able to answer that. If the TTI system follows factory original bends on the pipes then , why wouldn't it? Mine is a 70 with original tail pipes , I didnt modify the exhaust.

Agree with above, it is a nice upgrade.

I have to say that this looks like a great upgrade but the $$$ is a hindering point for me right now

I have the rear out and springs ready to be rebuilt so i figure now is the time to consider a sway bar. Especially after the rave reviews. It is pricey, but then considering what I've already spent on the car, what the heck‍♂️. I'm going to contact FF and will report back.
Thanks for the replies!

Hmm. I missed this thread the first two times. I get some good tail wagging around quicker corners.

2 winters ago I upgraded my 66 polara 880.
With Firm Feel's full front and rear upgrades.
Also installed a 2.5 inch TTI exhaust at the same time.
I asked Firm Feel if their swaybar would clear the TTI exhaust. YES I was told.
I asked TTI if their tail pipes would clear the Firm Feel sway bar and was told that NO it would not.
So with these 2 different answers I mocked up the sway bar and ended up leaving it off because it looked to me that it interfere with the exhaust.
I am most interested to see how this thread plays out. I'd love to have the swaybar on the car

It would be worth it to have the TTI tail pipes tweaked if they did.

TTI pipes are sweet, mandrel bent.
Thing is it's not exactly made to factory specs. It clears pretty good and fits nice. But definitely not 100% copy of original.
I agree I would think that TTI would be ahead of the curve and tweak their tailpipes to clear a sway bar.
I had to flatten the TTI head pipe to get clearance for the Z bar/torque tube. I didnt find this to cool. Once again a little issue that shouldn't be a issue

I haven't pulled the trigger yet on a new exhaust. Considered, TTI, Accurate and a third I'm forgetting the name right now. I thought TTI used all the factory bends. Accurate assures their buyers they are 100% factory.
I would think a " tweaking" would do the trick if there is interference. I wouldn't hesitate to do that if and when that happens.

I have my '70 with a TTI 2 1/2" exhaust parked on the lift. That's its parking spot, so it just has to go in the air to do this.

I can take some measurements and pictures of where the exhaust runs, if we can get someone with a sway bar to do the same.

It seems to me that TTI uses the stock mounts/locations to hang the pipes and the sway bar should follow close to that and everything should clear. That's speculation though... and I'm really not feeling like trying it at the moment.

I had the top part typed out and saw your message. Basically, I was going to say that I think the exhaust could be installed around the sway bar easier than the other way around. That is to say, a new system is easy to slide the pipes back a RCH or two while installing, but messing with a system that's been in place a few years might be tough.

For a 66 c body TTI dont use the original muffler hangers.
You need to bolt a mount on the upper shock mount bracket and things hang off the tailpipe. . Same as fuselage uses. I'm not sure if this changes anything regarding the pipe routing.
Accurate claims to be more exact to factory specs. I have their system for a 67 b body.
I havnt opened the box yet. I hope it fits up like it does on their video

Ii forgot to finish my last thought. With TTI.
With the way the tailpipes are mounted there is no forward/rearward adjusting for swaybar clearance

That's interesting and at first I thought it might throw us all a curve when trying to figure out what fits what.

Firm Feel lists one sway bar for 65-73 and TTI lists one exhaust system for 65-73! That surprises me a bit.

Of course, building a sway bar isn't rocket surgery either. It's a piece of steel, bent to shape and then heat treated. I had a Neon my kids and I autocrossed and one guy on a forum made some custom hollow sway bars and they weren't as expensive as the Firm Feel and they were custom made!

I'm sure TTI c body kit fits 65 to 73.
But they use the later years muffler mounting style on slabs,
Also they use 2 new style rubber cushions per tailpipe to give it the modern vibration isolation.
