CATL 2024: C-bodies At The Lake on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 ("hub-and-spoke" to the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, IN)

Lol. I appreciate the sentiment. I also still have the charger out here so I would have been a B body in the crowd again.

Unfortunately I'm out. I have my kids that weekend and have some appointments I have to take them to. Sorry all.

235/75/15 would have been the preferred size, yours are tall. You have to compress the shock to get it out.

Anyone here running a Fitech or has deep knowledge of EFI?

I will add having complete control of the timing curve on a map on my laptop is really really nice. Especially with boost I can control timing vs MAP as well as the normal mimic of mechanical and vacuum advance. It is so easy to go down the road and dial up timing until lean surge, back it off...

Anyone here running a Fitech or has deep knowledge of EFI?

That's a bummer. My circa 2000 classic f.a.s.t is still running my turbo 383 in the fury.

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

I didn't know about that bolt hole difference, my apologies for making it sound too simple

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

Need the correct external balance converter or special adaptor flex plate. Your trans will be an early 19 spline so I'd go the flex plate route

Anyone here running a Fitech or has deep knowledge of EFI?

I've never used fitech. I would suggest triple confirming all the config settings that kick it in and out of open/closed loop. Usually multiple temp settings, whether warm up enrichment is still engaged, etc. you could accidentally be always adding warm up enrichment

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

Cool factor but would still be slower than the 360

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

Yes that doesn't fit in cars. It could also have the short tail housing that won't work for a car

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

Depends, does that MH trans have the drum brake emergency brake hanging off the back?

Engine swap should I go 360 or 383

Imo I'd find a cheap 360 to pep it up and then focus on Grandpa's roadrunner sitting there! I also have a red 72, though it's a clone with the correct grill and such

Getting more power in a C body

Let's use engineering and science, not how we see it. You've changed the efficiency of the engine you mention, not the displacement.
