1966 Fury III - Unfinished Project

Absolutely. Use a 67 or up dual circuit drum master such as noted above by @Just Carbs - it will simply bolt right on. Just choose the one for manual brakes or power brakes as per your car's setup. As well, there is a proper distribution setup already available for easy-peasy install on eBay.

Of course, now that I look for it after seeing it a trillion times (prebent lines and all), I can't find it. Look for a something along the lines of a C body dual master conversion... should come up.
Inline tube!

It would have been nice to have known that was available when I did mine.
But it was easy. About $20 of stuff from O'Reilly. Plus the $30 master. And 3 hours. Nothing was stuck together.

Today, I made a wiggly tube.

That comes off the passenger side manifold and scoots around the torsion bar.

Nice and neat, lines up with the notch in the subframe.

I slotted two lengths of straight pipe together under the car to see what it would sound like.

Needs a muffler...!

I'm all questions today.

Exhaust routing, twin system on the Sport Fury:- I see where each side comes down through the notch in the subframe.
What's the path from there back? Come close to the driveshaft until the rear floor, then mufflers under the rear seat, kick up over the axle and hug the rails past the tank?

Yup. That's where it fits. At the point where I need to buy mufflers so I can fit them to the pipe.

Also made the driver's side downpipe.

Progress is progress.

I had a thought because the car is facing the fence.

Headlight aim time. Dim lights are good now.

Brights take a bit more setting up because they add a second set of lights.

Good enough for the moment, at least.

Some work this morning.

Cut and weld.

Rain stopped play before I could clean the driver's side pipe up.

Fits okay though. FedEx says my mufflers are on the truck today to be delivered. We'll see if the rain quits.

Couple Flowmaster clones, mild steel because cheap.

Spent an age being everything to line up, welded fully and added some hangers to get it to sit right.

Needs another hanger up front really, I think I'll add one.

Stuffed the rest of the pipe together with the passenger side just resting on the floor and gave it a test. Nice deep note.

With it warm, I changed the oil. Condensate and gasoline. Yuk.

Little bit of sunshine. Elegant, it is not.

Practical, it is.

Going to dress the welds up when it's all finished. Ordered some sleeve style clamps for it too.

I have to give you credit. It can be challenging to do exhaust work even on a hoist. I can only imagine the difficulty you experience doing it on the ground. Kudos to you.

Had thirty minutes after work so finished the passenger side mid pipe, which now meets the muffler.

Next up, two support brackets to support it.
