Great work on a great car. As I live only 60 km from Frankfurt, I am looked forward seeing it live in the near future.
Not much to do lately, thanks to Corona. The metal work has to wait until I can travel again.
But I continued to clean, prep and sort all the smaller parts.
And because I know you all like pictures, here are a lot of them ;)
I totally love to look at these old new parts.

Here are some things I'm missing parts for or looking to replace. Maybe someone can help me out with these?
I'm missing the small spring for the Cruise Control Brake Switch.
The bracket was too rusted to reuse.
Most of the threads on the Seat Belt Bolts were too ruste to reuse.
The Shift Linkage has deep pitting on it. It works, but I would prefer to have rust free ones.

The E clips should be readily available here in the US. The spring as well. Regarding the license plate lamp bracket, fabricate your own! You have demonstrated your fabrication skills and would be a good ‘keep yourself sane’ project in itself. I also think that you could clean up the license plate lamp bracket and use it, but maybe the picture doesn’t reveal the entire extent of the rust damage.
By the way, I spent 10 days back in 1999 in Bavaria- stayed in Giebelstadt and loved driving around there (3000+ km in a brand new 1999 Opel Vectra wagon sport). Best time staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the General Patton MWR hotel and seeing Linderhof Palace, as well as driving like I stole that rental car and being passed by Porsche’s, BMWs and Audi’s like I was parked...

Just brilliant, you'll be pleased when you can start putting these parts back on the car, we"re all amazed at the extent of your efforts, but the end result will surely be beautiful.

The spring is pretty specific in its specs on such aparatus I would asume. I'm willing to buy another whole swich is neccessary but would prefer the spring alone.
The E Clips are just on the "before" picture. I have these.
The bracket for the license plate illumination has as much holes in it as a swiss cheese and I prefer an original replacement.
Should be available somewhere.
An Opel Vectra is not exaclty a sports car, no ;) But good to drive through bavaria or sure!
