1969 Imperial progress thread

I hear ya.

This is the very first project like this for me and I have yet to find my way.

Cleaning out the interior, get the engine running and fix the brake system are the first things. Next step is to fix all the wires eaten by the damn mice... (probably this is part of "get the engine running)

I think it is great that there is someone as nuts as I am to take on a project as this with no experience doing so.

Damn, they sure made work on your dash! I'll keep an eye out for potential parts cars for you. It looks like you may need a complete instrument cluster and clock, from the appearance of the parts.

The American mice are not as focused and disciplined as the German mice, but mixing the two is a good thing.

That is trashed! I know you have a budget to try stick to but you might give Murry B a call.

That washer bottle could be sprayed with a clear coat of paint or painted with clear resin to give it more strength. Its an idea that may give you more ideas?

I rebuilt the holley on my 69 ......... twice. Never could get it to run right. I replaced it with a Edelbrock 1407 and that made the 440 come alive. Never had to turn a screw ..... It fired up .... idled and ran perfect.

Exactly my experience nearly every time with an original Holley.......................................................

Thanks! Some parts are definitely Trashed! I will contact Murray B. for spareparts as soon as I know what's all broken.

Is it legal to import American mice?

The American mice are not as focused and disciplined as the German mice, but mixing the two is a good thing.

I'm sure it's not legal, but since I have only found skeletons, it should be ok. :O

I trust your experience but I have all rebuild parts already, so I'll give it a try! I have cleaned most of the parts already and when I'm done with that, I will put it back together and then we will see.
