1978 NYB New Engine.....

A vacuum can is good, a electric vacuum pump maybe better, hydroboost is really good. I would suggest a belt driven vacuum pump like some diesels use, but it wont work with your serpentine setup without major mod's

Yep I don't think there is any room to add anything to the serpentine system. Lol

Way to go Bob... :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I hate to think about the builds yours will inspire, but this seems like perfection coming together after all your years of work on her. :thankyou:

I will caution everyone to take a look at all of your rubber fuel hoses from the tank to the carb. I thought I was good to go but discovered that I some how missed the rubber fuel hose from the frame metal fuel line to the fuel pump. I had it on the lift and discovered that 40 year old piece of rubber hose was cracked and leaking. That would of sucked if it caught on fire and burned the blue beast down after all the work and money I have in her now.

After this project is over I just want to cruise and enjoy the car. Lighting up the tires will be a very rare event. I don't need to start a feud with the local police and then my vintage/historic plates come in to question. I am totally legal but if you are being a nuisance the cops can wreak havoc on your privilege of having those plates and no safety and exhaust inspections / emission tests.

I have only been on one short run so far and I haven't noticed any driveability issue with the 2400 B&M stall converter. She takes off fine from a dead stop. A 3:23 gear would make it a little more responsive.

Monster radiator=Monster cooling. We want you cruising in comfort with the A/C going during those hot months:thumbsup:

I hope we have a snow free winter so I can enjoy driving through the year.

Or head south... :D

Maybe for a roadtrip....

I have to live within a certain distance to Johns Hopkins Hospital to get health care treatment under my current military insurance plan. I presently live at that distance limit now. If I moved south I would be forced to get my health care treatment from a VA hospital. I'm not saying VA hospitals are bad..... but I have been to the Baltimore VA hospital for disability evaluations and F NO if I'll ever be going to a VA hospital for anything including a flu shot.

I am improving......

Instead of 5-6 medical appointments every week I'm down to 2-3 a week now. So it'll be awhile before I can start to really enjoy myself.

I've been trying to push appt's back and forth a few days so I can drive my Ram to Wisconsin for a few days before it snows. They already had frost this week.

After I'm 100% done with NYB engine project I'll have to drive it locally for awhile to make sure there isn't any problems. Maybe a couple of hundred mile trips around here to verify the dependability and make sure it's not going to overheat, lose spark, maintaining oil pressure, charging system working, power steering, etc. I have completely changed everything and will feel better if I get about 1000 incident free miles and a few oil changes before I start heading out on big runs.
