While there I contemplated buying the Mood Indigo Fury that was listed on E bay and only 20 minutes from where my daughter lives.

My wife must have taken the Teton photos on her device.....

No words to go with these, I would love to give some grand speech or explain the feelings of the sights we saw, it cant be done. They leave you in amazement and I am Wowed out....

We left Idaho Tuesday afternoon at 530 to arrive in Carlisle at 130 AM. We ate breakfast at the local diner arrived at the fairgrounds at 3am , took showers, set up camp and went to sleep....

This was about 6... 630.

Leading into the show and over the course of the event I had heard tales of car problems. Cars breaking down on the road, before the road, not starting at all and even of body damage. I had my daughter Rachel call and reserve an insurance policy for a $110 dollars in the form of a car trailer. I figured we had four oldies heading home. If one went down I could take a good car off the trailer and load up the troubled car. Thankfully, we didnt need it

The best part of my Carlisle experience was seeing this fellow again. His name is Peter and his wife Carol. I havent seen Peter in ten years. He is a member here with minimal posts. He took bad health several years ago and I damn near fell out of my chair when I saw him standing next to me. He simply brought tears to my eyes, Peter is the kind of fellow that lights up a room when he walks in, and always positive.... I hope he chimes in :canada:

It was great, absolutely spectacular to see all the FCBO members there, most I already knew, some I met for the first time this year. Not a bad apple in the bunch.

I met Trevor for the first time this year (Fury Pursuit) what a class act he is. I got goose bumps standing in the presence of his car, like a ghost of the past lives.... The car radiates history, and he invites people to sit in it... :realcrazy: ... Thank you Trev for the history lessons...

The C body banners outside the building were / are available at Carlisle events for $55 which includes shipping ... they make for cool garage art. I was fortunate enough to get one of the jumbo ones for my garage ...Thanks Ed.

I didnt take a hell of a lot of pictures, about all i posted is what I took. No time for that, too many people, too many cars, too many parts, not enough time, not enough food...

Thank you Chris for hauling my fender and rocker moldings 3500 miles to Carlisle ...:thankyou:

Thank you Murray Park for coming to the photo shoot

Im sure I forgot something so feel free to chime in.....

Oh yeah, my truck won 3rd in its class

and this picture of a cool rig

Your trip pictures are breath taking Dave. I lived for 3 1/2 years with Rocky Mountain National Park as my backyard, way back in the early 70's, and your right..... words don't describe...! You learn about your significance, (or insignificance), in the scheme of time looking at vistas like those.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing your adventure!

What was wrong with the 71 Fury you almost bought, besides the back window styling?
