5700 miles, then Carlisle

I have A A A and my daughter works for them . I didn't want to be on the side of the road in the heat waiting. It worked out well actually. I had the trailer returned by 7 pm and the oil changed in the truck by 8 pm.

There were other reasons for the trailer too but I felt like playing it safe

It was great, absolutely spectacular to see all the FCBO members there, most I already knew, some I met for the first time this year. Not a bad apple in the bunch.

I met Trevor for the first time this year (Fury Pursuit) what a class act he is. I got goose bumps standing in the presence of his car, like a ghost of the past lives.... The car radiates history, and he invites people to sit in it... :realcrazy: ... Thank you Trev for the history lessons...

The C body banners outside the building were / are available at Carlisle events for $55 which includes shipping ... they make for cool garage art. I was fortunate enough to get one of the jumbo ones for my garage ...Thanks Ed.

I didnt take a hell of a lot of pictures, about all i posted is what I took. No time for that, too many people, too many cars, too many parts, not enough time, not enough food...

Thank you Chris for hauling my fender and rocker moldings 3500 miles to Carlisle ...:thankyou:

Thank you Murray Park for coming to the photo shoot

Im sure I forgot something so feel free to chime in.....

Oh yeah, my truck won 3rd in its class

and this picture of a cool rig

Glad to have met you and your family Dave, it was a great show. Thanks for bringing your collection of Polaras to Carlisle, it was a treat to see them, especially the "blue" car!

Next time you see the Hurst you need to drive it!!!!

Happy B-Day,....you are officially now an old guy. :)

Wow!! Great pictures of your holiday Dave - that kind of trip is on my and my wife's bucket list along with The Pacific Coast Highway and an Eastern Seaboard tour. I was lucky enough to have been to some of the places on your trip as a 5 year old - it made an unforgettable impression on me which I want to recreate. Thanks for sharing those pics and all the great pics of your cars. Thanks for the kind words about my wagon too.

It was great to finally meet you too - and I hope we get to see each other again soon!

55 degrees. The horseback guide had said the nights were 30 degrees the two days before we were there...
That'll wake you up ! I'm guessing you had the lake all to yourself, as far as swimmers go.

Wanna tell tell 'um 'bout your day job errrr night job Ross? Gonna make it back to Carlisle in '17 so we can finally shake handz? ...And I still do and will alwayz miss Inn On The Park, Jerry Olson...Jer

No...There really weren't but maybe a hundred in the whole lake. We had rented a large pontoon boat . We found a shallow place in the sun....I also had to work up the nerve to jump in

Lol Jer! Professional music does present its' limitations for attending car shows...

If not in 17 I will be back at some point with my fully restored one of one Canadian 66 Monaco 440 4spd. Progress is slow, but there is progress none-the-less!

It is on my list of vacations too one day in the convertible, but over 6-8 weeks . This was a 17 day marathon. 5903 miles from start to finish.
That was one kick *** vacation by the looks of the pictures... 5900 miles... Wow, I would have needed a nap under the tent too.

Happy B-Day, seems like you had the one you wanted...

No time for a nap...it's Carlisle. I wear my family out the Carlisle weekends. Every night, " What time you want us downstairs? See you downstairs 6am, at the fairgrounds by 7". I presume they enjoy it they keep coming back every year.

You have a dedicated and amazing crew there...

Thanks for sharing Dave!

The Northwest and Canada and Alaska are the only places I haven't been to yet.

I'm looking forward to retirement and enjoying going to those places.

Happy birthday Dave. 50 was when it hit me. You seem to be taking it well. Thanks for posting the pics. Nice to see Peter up and about again.

I think it hit me when I turned 40 Fred so I'm over it I guess.

So happy to see Peter....I'm sure he'll make Moparfest.
