So it's really a '70 or did they extend '69 production to the end of the year so they they didn't have to meet some silly mandated rules for the '70 model year?

The new model production for 68-69 began on Aug 1st.... Acording to the scheduled production date on your tag the car was built in Sept 68. An early production car.

Original paint is F8 Ivy Green Poly. Another shade of green that I like quite a bit. Are you going to put the original color back on? It would look very, very good in my opinion!!!

So it's a very early '69. Any 70's stuff had to be put on later. Warranty stuff?

'70 style Arm rests, Don't match the ones from my January built '69 Parts car, but match the ones in a local guys April Built '70, Same with the retractable seatbelts, there probably more but when I got my car the only interior still installed were the front door panels with arm rests and all that hardware and the front seat/dash area.

Yes It's going back fairly close to original, 'F8 paint and the white/black interior is all being refurbished and will go back in, only difference will be top color.
I'll be looking forward to seeing it done.

I hope you see this project through. Its a serious task to complete from where you are starting and should be stunning when finished
