My Parents have always been very supportive, I'm Child #4, My Oldest Sister wanted to play an instrument, my Brother played Hockey, my Youngest older sister wanted to model & Sing, me I was a car guy the minute I came from the whom, My parents will truthfully tell my First word was Truck, followed my the usual momma and daddy.Well. I started to read this threat at lunch on my Tablet, but, it was too large, so here at home, I just spent the last 2 hrs reading this, and scratching my head! First of all, Kudos to you for tackling this project with little supervision or guidance, and being at such a young age doing so! Of course I'm critical of this or that, but, coupled with your age, lack of tools and facility, and direct and encouraging support, any criticism is negated!
Fantastic thread despite a few off topic detours, and thread count padding by some folks! LOL
I'm reminded at how I was when I was 15 yrs old, no tools except my fathers primitive junk, but a huge desire and aspiration to do something and make something happen. I didn't get much support from my folks, they only could value their kids if they played an instrument, sang, or danced or did theater. I, chose to do greasy mechanical stuff. Good thread, more importantly good theme and story!
It brightens up in the direct sunlight, Usually is a lot closer to the original F8, Wish I was at that particular stage with the Fury that you are with your Charger. That comes next. That green on your car is only slightly darker than the green i got this week to paint my charger, Im spot puttying it right now and will final primer it the coming week and block sand it, mind you, your car is already back in its wheels, I wont get that done for awhile.
I just cut and weld up Mopars, I don't lean on them...........I lean hard on my truck and it begs for more.leaning on the Chevy, dont touch my Mopar
Never you mind on how Dave talks....I lean hard on my truck and it begs for more.
I bet I could still kick your butt. ;-)Thank you Pop Pop
True but also not exactly true. Unless these pistons have the wrist pin exactly in the middle of the piston, then there is a "right" and "wrong" way to install them. Wrist pins are deliberately offset to minimize cold start-up piston slap. Yes there's a minor increase in internal friction from doing that, but most manufacturers prefer the quieter engine operation to the customer complaints of the noise. Racing pistons on the other want the wrist pin smack in the middle of the piston because of the slightly reduced friction and the fact that they don't give a damn about the slap noise.
I'd have to look Stan, they might.I'm assuming the pistons shown don't have a notch indicating which side faces to the front of the block.
But you are 100% right and and an excellent point to bring up.
