I should mention I’ll wash after sanding. Usually I add baking soda since I used naval jelly.
I remembered!! Have been thinking of your efforts while I did this. And you did a superb, professional job!Did this same for my TC few years ago. LOTS of parts in trunk area...
Thank youNice work as always, glad to see your updates!
You may try National Moparts in Canada. or AMS NOS parts in GeorgiaAnybody have a good lead on new/replacement door window channel? I’d like a part number. I’ve called places like Metro Moulded, but they usually expect the customer to ID which trim (part number) fits.
Looks great! Congratulations about all your Monaco. I know well that one day you have enough from a project. -So... drive and drive and enjoy it.Cut the footwell carpet to fit. It’s a little rough. Decided against gluing. “Good enough” for now. Happy with the overall look. (And I’m tired of this project.)

Beautifully done, the woodgrain makes me smile. It’s inspiring to see another one on the road in this world. There is more than one unicorn!!!Yeah, I finished my 72 Monaco this June! She runs nice and quiet and I am very happy. A lot of work is done. This are such great cars.... <3

Where does the wear occur? Ends?Probably really hard to say because I bet a new one won't last as long. My '66 300 had 64,000 plus when I had issues, and I imagine it was the original. When they go they get bad fast. They are hardened but once that layer wears through the steel will wear very quickly.
