Booster exchange in Oregon

i need to replace the power brake booster on my 66 300. Local parts store only has A1 Cardone R&R. Although I’ve never had any problems with A1 products, even sold them in my parts store for a decade or more I hear a lot of bad things on the net & I don’t like the idea of the r&r. So I was reading good things about the Booster man in Oregon. I plan to call him Monday & order one. Anybody deal with this guy ?

Power Brake Exchange?? I dealt with them earlier this year. Just call them and dont look back. I know I will be dealing with again next time im in need of a Booster rebuild

Drum brake is cad, disc is semi gloss black.

For $5 extra they will do the Master cap.

Dewey is good. He'll know what's right for your car - it's my understanding it's cad plating for drum boosters, but I could be wrong.

I’ve got the one from my ‘64 with Booster Steve right now.

I’m sending Booster Dewey a '71 for Medina (taken by @71Polara383 from Pennsylvania, a similar ´71 Monaco parts coupe) and a '70 for Snow White (my recently-acquired '70 Polara 'vert). Both are equipped with B41 Disc Brakes. Both boosters are semi-gloss black.

Courtesy of Wyatt, the pics below show the boosters as they’re being readied for shipping to BD. Pennsylvania’s single-diaphragm booster is in the middle, Snow White’s dual-diaphragm booster is on the right. On the left is the booster from another ‘70 ´vert with disc brakes. These pictures support the discussion about 1970 vs. 1971 booster differences in this thread (thanks in particular to @saforwardlook and @Davea Lux).

I have a Bendix disc brake booster I grabbed out a junkyard car many years ago (68 Newyorker??)....just to have in case I decide to install the proper one on the wagon. I have a generic A-1 Cardone unit on there now and think it is an original unit from a 80's Dodge van or something? Will send it off to Booster Dewey one day. ;)

Just yesterday I got my booster back. I think it took somewhere around 4 weeks, not bad considering it crossed the country twice. I decided to have it done in black since I'm not doing a restoration. Looks good to me.

It was packed well. Watch out for the packing peanuts.
