I use mostly PPG Deltron Basecoat / clearcoat. On all these Mopar restorations I'm doing I always check price and have a two ounce sample made up in both PPG and Dupont Chromabase. Sometimes one is way cheaper than the other and sometimes one brand's formula is way off color so I do a sprayout and see which one looks right. I use PPG primers and clear. These top of the line materials are very expensive ($3500-$4000 total material cost on a rotisserie restoration) but I don't have problems with them. How are you painting your car? With what system?

If you're going with a solid color single stage will work. I will not do single stage metallic.Give me quick and dirty opinion on single stage acrylic urethanes, if you would.

Chris does great paint work. I hate him because I'm so jealous and too far away...Your paint work on the top looks great, nice work!
I'm going with the original light green metalic. The door jambs and engine bay are pretty clean so I'm not painting them.
Factory color.I like the light green mettalic colors a lot. Is it a factory color or something else? I can't wait to see what it'll look like. Keep posting pictures.
Well it's both. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing my hobby. I've been doing restorations on the side for years but for the last two years I've been doing it full time from home. Here's a link from another site that chronoicles the last two years with pictures of alot of the cars I've done. http://www.moparfins.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3681Chris, just by seeing your posts on this forum...I seem to believe that you restore classic Mopars as a business... or have one hell of a hobby? Which is it? And of course, we would like to see pictures of your operation and fleet if you don't mind.

I don't have a 61 300 but I do have a 62 Newport Wagon. Here's some pictures. You are living my goal, but I can't afford a building at this point. I have a few B bodies and a '70 Cuda that I will redo and send down the road, but mostly I want to have a few of my keepers finished.
If you still have a '61 300, can you share some pictures of it?
