Wife didn't want them driving it. So that was that lol. You can't win because if anything at all ever did happen you'd hear the I told you so's.

Youre right

about five years ago three of my kids were fighting over who was getting which car upon my death :yes_no:

So all this talking means there was no c-bodies at Carlisle? :backontopic::icon_lol:

Yes, Chryslers at Carlisle are "showcasing" the C-body in 2016. You can expect that the topic of Carlisle will get more serious around May of next year.

I think the more time talking about it will generate interest. I think a thread that is "sticky'ed" to the top of the Forum or each Forum if possible. Many people would have to plan their summer around it, get their car ready, make plans etc. Anyway I am looking forward to it.

Serious question....I'm a B body guy and was thinking about going to Moparfest in Canada next year. However, I've enjoyed this Board, learning about C bodies, and the folks I've conversed with on here. If a large contingent of members on this board are considering going to Carlisle because of the salute to C bodies, I would consider going to Carlisle instead to meet (re-meet) some of you.

With the C bodies being featured, how many of you think you will make it to Carlisle?

(FWIW...I've toured the USS Iowa. Amazing...)

I'm planning on being there.

There always is quite a few folks from this forum there. I would hope that this will give some incentive to others to join us.

Last years Carlisle was the best one in awhile, the show field was as full as I have seen it and there seemed to be less empty spots in the swap.
There is always a fair amount of C-bodies present but how many more show up is any bodies guess. Part will depend on how well the word gets out.

Moparfest is mainly a Car Show, the swap is fairly small so most of your time is spent looking at cars. They have a hockey rink (what else) to display about 15 cars. Last year they had the Petrie cars in there which was very cool. There is a fairly good mix of all Mopars, they cap newer Mopars at 200 so there is going to be over 1200 old cars for sure. The fairgrounds are full. Cars stay at the show til at least 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday and leave around the same time. Pretty cool to see them all drive out. For someone coming from a distance I would plan on going to the Dream Cruise in Michigan maybe Thursday/Friday and Moparfest Saturday/Sunday.
