C Bodies at Carlisle!

F%&$ Now every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Jane will want one. Not good. Find all the parts you need now.

Looks like Carlisle is a go. I booked my room. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you (Bob? Dave? Will? Matt?) again and, meeting some of you, for the first time.

I'll have to send them a correction....

The C-body thus made it through the 1977 model year before the M- and R-bodies took over the C-body’s more famous nameplates

They started out with a pic of a 57 Chrysler on their announcement. I see that changed.

I guess I will be planning on taking another voyage to Carlisle next July!! This time with my 68 300!
Here is a pic of my first 68 300 at Carlisle...after I sold it to Tom (of Moparts.com fame ) He owned the car for several years - then it went to Europe.... DSC00578.jpg

If you guys all sign up/register for the show as a group Carlisle will supply a tent. That way everybody will have a home base and its a great place to meet up. Just a thought.

That's a good thing, more people will get them restored instead of using them for parts cars and engine donors...how many really good cars have already been scrapped out???

I believe there's a cost on that. Most likely it's dependent on participation. I do know that it may not be near the C-body row. They put them where there's space.

Dave (Polara71) always has two tents behind his car and that's been a great place to gather. Huge thanks to Dave for that BTW.

I should have a tent behind my car too... Dave gets there earlier than me and stakes out a good spot. I get what's left depending on when I get there.

With the Lift Off Hood Reunions, Carlisle always supplied the tent at no extra cost. I am sure it would be dependant on participation. If Dave already sets up a couple of tents maybe you already have that covered. I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Dave

I never did make the A12 reunions... although my old A12 was there last year!

I was involved with another forum that got a tent and there was a small charge (under $75 IIRC) and it was over in another row at the end.

Here's what I know from the Dodge Charger and Dodge Coronet Boards:

Attendees that pre-register are asked to register their car under the name of the Board as their 'Club'. Carlisle supplies the tent for these Boards. The Coronet board tent was at the end of the Dodge B body row (near the entrance/Subway). The Charger board tent was in the middle of the B body Dodge row. So...if someone coordinates with the folks at Carlisle, it's possible/probable FCBO could get a tent supplied by Carlisle in the C body area.

Right but good for next year. So if we get 25 or more registered this year, you get the tent next year

I suppose I can reach out to him Dave, but you certainly can if you want.
If and that is a big IF we get less than 25 but a large number I will spring for the tent...

I'll donate to the tent cost too.
