California reported fired after jumping on and damaging classic cars

"Hey, I've never had to work for anything I've ever owned, so why should I care about some random stranger's possession? They didn't have to work for it right?"

This is yet another good example of how politics permeates so much on this site, no matter how well isolated you think the topic is.

You can find a loser dumbass anywhere these days................

But probably less likely here than elsewhere............

California - 39,557,045
California is the most populated state in the US with a total population of 39,557,045. The state also happens to be one of the fastest-growing in the country. California is the third largest state by land area. On the economic front, the state of California has the highest output in the agricultural industry. The economy is concentrated on finance, real estate, business services and the film industry. Chevron, Apple, and McKesson, three of the world’s largest firms, also have their headquarters in California. With such robust economic activities, the population is bound to be high as people look to exploit the available opportunities. If California were a country, it would rank as the 5th largest economy in the world.

When I read all these well-informed know-it-alls (just ask em) who don't live here tell me what it is really like, I have to laugh. And if you live somewhere you hate, why not just get out and show everyone how smart you are? Many others are more than willing to come here in your place apparently.

Thank you once again Fox News for all your focused, balanced reporting.

I am not a fan of politics myself. I didn’t notice anything political in the Fox News report. I just saw a guy doing the unthinkable to classic cars.

As for California, a big part of public perception of the state right now is power outages, homeless with tents on the street along with needles and poop. A reasonable person knows that isn’t the entire state, but those are the headlines. People make assumptions about the South where I live and a lot of those assumptions are wrong. It happens.

Cali is right out front creating that perception what with their sanctuary cities and refusal to work with federal ICE and Homeland Security officials.
The left and right coasties make assumptions of all us midwesterners also. We’re quite fine with that then we go out and vote.

I for one sure am glad I don't live in Commiefornia, nothing against hard working real Americans, it's more a reflection on the un-American element, both in power and within its voting bloc.

I disagreed because I really don't see anything political here. Maybe the California with a "K"... and I get that because I live in New York State... Where some people think is a giant version of New York City.

Want to call out the Mexican comment? I'm with you.... Racist and uncalled for. Call out the "K" reference? Maybe, but that is the perception, like it or not. Call out Fox news? I'm not sure what that has to do with anything here. This is just a "puff" piece and it happens to take a small jab at CBS for an affiliate station reporting local news.

FWIW, I am of the opinion that all the news channels are guilty of yellow journalism and take their cues from William Randolph Hearst for steering the public into voting for whoever makes the most news and therefore sells the most advertising.

Non-car people often think you can treat an antique with the same "disposable" mentality like you do with something new. I had kind of assumed that was the case with this reporter UNTIL he stated that "without the owners you can do anything," pretty amazing. The network or local station needs to do more than apologize, they need to repair (or provide compensation for) the damage caused, and if they don't this guy should be prosecuted.

He said only the media event coordinator was there. That person is going to be in trouble, too. That is who let the guy in.

Stupidity knows no bounds. This idiot could have been any nationality, from any state in the country, either republican or democrat, catholic or Jewish, rich or poor, male or female. I have to agree with Steve and say I see no reason that this post became anything other than about the behavior of some not too bright non car guy.

I lived in that state for 16+ years and watched it's slow demise, I also saw how they treated this Veteran as a 6th class citizen. The state also made me a felon, I left for Freedom! I'm sure that at least a dozen wetbacks took my place!

Really John?

Do you think this list of news articles below is balanced and non-political, and not intended to cast Californians as a bunch of losers, overwhelmed with our many problems like the first article that is the subject of this post? And does Fox News, Donald Trump's mouthpiece, do this extensive hit for a lot of other states as well or just us? I am not a fan of CNN either, but this kind of "news" is political and divisive. I don't have a problem with reporting that incident, but subsequent posts on this site turn it into something political due to the unnecessary influence of politics on this site.

We all know Trump wants to be a dictator and have everyone follow in lockstep with his thinking, or they get attacked or fired. There was a time when Republicans supported States rights, like when I was one, but I left some time ago when Reagan came into office and started coddling the rich with excessive tax breaks and favored business interests in his "trickle down" economy that eventually sent so many of our jobs overseas.

California is already successful because of our state's policies for growth that conflict with Trump's thinking, and he can't stand it.

People say they voted for Trump because he is a businessman, but he has gone bankrupt 6 times in his life. Would you really trust a man like that with your business?

This state generally rejects racism, ignoring scientists and ignoring problems or supporting failing industries. We see problems as opportunities for our strong, well educated workforce to tackle so we can develop the solutions that the rest of the world wants, provide more good work opportunities with a future and succeed as an economy. We see denying and ignoring problems, supporting coal mining and ignoring climate change as examples of thinking that just leads to decay economically and failure eventually. And a person's skin color generally means nothing here and that a person's behavior represent their upbringing more than anything else.

Trump believes he is a "stable genius" and has "great and unmatched wisdom" - I run when someone proclaims that to me. I am also surprised that the vetrans on this site have nothing bad to say about abandoning our Kurdish allies in nothern Syria with no warning and left them to be slaughtered. Is that the mark of a real leader of wisdom?

I have lived in this state 69 years out of my near 73 now. There is no other place in this world I would rather live, and the whole atmosphere is, in a word, "upbeat".

So I get tired of all this endless nonsense politics and divisiveness. I like the bumper sticker that says "Make America Smart Again". That is what I long for......................

I think Fox news provides a service by reporting from a different perspective. If I watch both Fox and CNN, yes the truth is probably someplace in the middle. It is up to the viewer to make their own decision as what they want to believe. I do not see a whole lot of anything political about Fox reporting that Katie Hill likes to screw around with her staff. That is more a problem of her personal sex preferences. I can just about promise the main stream media would would have ignored this story otherwise. I am not trying insult anyone here just giving my perspective.

Really John?

Steve, I am saying this with all respect to you, but yes, I don't think this was meant to be a political post. Perhaps you are talking about the entire forum, but I'm just talking about this thread.

Do you think this list of news articles below is balanced and non-political, and not intended to cast Californians as a bunch of losers, overwhelmed with our many problems like the first article that is the subject of this post?

It's apples and oranges. They (Fox) referenced that it was a California guy that did the damage, and they also reported that the CBS affiliate was very swift to fire him and apologize. That news article could have been about anywhere, reported by anyone. It could have been a Wisconsin reporter that damaged the cars and CNN could have reported it and it would have been the same. Now if they had not reported the consequences of his actions, that's another story.

But, I'm not defending Fox news in the least. As I said, it's all about the ad revenue and they all pander to their base.

Now... A couple guys here have said some stuff that isn't right about California, and I understand your frustration with having to defend your home state. New York State guy here... I get it. But that's their ignorance and you are correct to try to make them understand.

I just am disagreeing with you that this is a political thread... or it wasn't until now.

Steve, I agree and disagree with some of the other things that you have said about politics on this forum. That's the way it is... I still respect your opinion because it comes from someone that has thought it through and not just repeated "talking points" from the network news.

I hope you understand that I am being respectful, as I hope you are to me, and that we are just disagreeing on on the intent and content of one thread. That's all.

"Katie Hill......engaged in 'Throuple' relationship..."

I learned a new term today, although I've heard of this "situation" before.

As I was told, my ex's former room mates, who are now married, apparently "started dating another couple". They then broke it off with the female of the duo, due to excessive drama (who knew?) but "kept the dude".

My question is....what's it called when four people are involved? A Quouple? For Fook's sake...

BRING OUT THE GIMP!

Hello face, meet fist.
People are making comments calling for someone to be lynched or killed, but pointing out 'racist' remarks is more important. I see some on here have their priorities right
