Has2b road trip

My '68 is a 4spd coupe that was originally LL1, love that color! Your car looked incredible and I hope it still does! I haven't decided if I'm going to go with the hood treatment or not but if I do it'll be '68 style. Pretty sure mine had the decor package too so it will again and I'm doing my interior in white over black.

Heres a shot of a friends 68 Hemi Road Runner, 4sp, that he bought new in 68.
Shortly after he got it, it came down for a set of 12.5 vinollia pistons, headers, and a connetics cam.
Man... that car was scary fast... won a lot of money on the streets around Detroit.

@Klaus: It is better to buy a Hemi RR than a house. That is boring. Trust me :))

I always say " you can live in a car but you cant drive a house."

I said that every time I bought another one but I'm tired of working on the cars in the den, need more storage space for cars and want them all right at home, parking in the livingroom at best.

I know what you mean but it will cost you cars in the beginning. In your area houses with barnes or a hall are way cheaper than in my area but I still would refuse it. I won't sell cars for buying a house

Won't sell a car for a house either, buy a house to buy and store more cars. :)

For me it is 70,68,69

But the 68 has to be a plain jane, a coupe without decor package, no hood treatment etc.

here is my old 68 Hemi Runner, 4-sp

Love those 68's, esp the tail lights and side markers! I agree with Matt i love that color! I had a 68 Coronet R/T LL1 with white interior and A/C brought down in Wichita Falls, TX back in the Mid 80's sold in the 90's.

I have fantasies about changing the color of my current R/T to LL1 or 69 A4 grey (and 4/5 speed) but probably will remain Red when and if repainted.

I have all 3 years, so I am not biased and I like different things about each year.

Like the '68 rear with the decor package (tail panel)

Like the side body line creases in the '68/'69s... Between these years I like the '68 GTX grille, but prefer the '69 grille in the Road Runner.

I prefer the '70 overall front end better, also the hood and the instrument cluster.

I think we all like all three years and were just rank ordering them for fun. It's like looking at 3 beautiful well rounded but different women and trying to say which one is better than the other. You mentioned some excellent additional points and I concur with all of them, but I'll add I like 68's with and without the Decor Pg .. not so much for the rear trim because I like 'em with and w/o out it too, but I definitely like the what the rest of the decor pg brought along .. especially the side pillar stainless trim. I'm also glad you mentioned the interiors because the 70's whole package was why I ranked it number 1. The 70's had way cool options and standard features like rallye dash, tic toc, Pistol grip, high back buckets etc that weren't available in 68/69 and on the exterior more high impact colors were available and the 70 AG is super cool etc etc.

But I still love all three years and would proudly own any one or all of them if $ and space where not an issue.

I love the rear of the 68', always have. It's totally cool. I wonder how hard it would be to swap out the bulbs for an LED system...and lite the entire strip so that it all illuminates when you stop. That would be the cat's ***.

Since we're showing pictures of Roadrunners. Here's one of my A12. I just sold this car last month.

Another Roadrunner I used to own. My ex wife is driving around the Indy 500 track years ago. Note she is taking the wrong line in the corner. One of the many reasons I kicked her to the curb.

I had both Roadrunners at the Car Craft Nats in the eighties.
