I do have a redone set of heads from a 73 440 casting is 999 I believe or something like that. But I am having the 440 and 727 from this rebuilt. I just bought a house last month so it's been put on hold for a bit.If you have a set of redone heads that has a light coating of rust, can they be cleaned up?their 440 heads from a 77 and are redone.Can i save them? yup I plan on that as well. It's not going to be a full restoration yet. But it definitely deserves it down the road after I get some years of enjoyment the way it is!Now you HAVE to detail the engine compartment while the motor is out...
I'll have to ask the guy I bought it from again. He lived in browerville MN. So I believe the dealership was in that area. I'd love to know if the original owner is still around!I just read this post from the beginning. You mentioned that your couple was originally owned by a dealer in western MN. I was curious if you knew which dealer that may have been? I'm from western MN. so I remember many of the dealers from back in the day.
