Some progress ..finally. Hood, doors and trunk lid inner surfaces done! Two coats of epoxy, coat of PU-topcoat over Noxudol (Noxudol added for smooth and quiet ride ;) metal and two coats of clear 2k acrylic. I'm quite happy with a result :)..

Mika

I have general knowledge of what that Noxudol is, but would you open your idea regarding it? You said it is for sound absorbing, right? Where else did you use it, besides the trunk lid?

Because I removed original sound absorbing material everywhere to bare metal . After two coats of epoxy I sprayed this Noxudol inside and out of the floors, inside of the doors, fenders, inner fenders, quarter panels, roof, partly on hood and outside of the fuel tank...that's about it..altogether more than 70 liters!! Yeah, I know sounds crazy but try film must be 1-3 millimeter thick to be effective and actually it's quite lite weight after drying.
Yes, purpose is sound damping and absorbing and also rock chip protection. Volvo use this in busses for this purpose, possible also in passenger cars. It's very effective stuff, for example fuel tank sounds now like cardboard box without that metall ringing sound.
Hope this helps..

Thank you, a very thorough explanation.
Do you plan on using a layer of Dynamat (or equivalent) under the carpet, or does Noxydol take away the need for one?

Parting out the stub frame, engine and so on..
Everything was so oily and greasy , thick layer everywhere. Reason for this was broken harmonic balancer , and I think this is from a factory. Next job was damaged "K-beam " repair with 3 mm sheet metal, this time with supporting metal bars. This car really need total repairing everywhere :(..

Mika
