Just curious. Do the cars sold in Canada meet US Emissions Standards?

Identical - they only make them one way for us both but the funny part is unless it says so on the car somewhere it won’t be accepted as doing so at the border...ive been asked for letters of compliance a million times but we can’t issue one only FCA can and they wont..protecting US Dealers from Canadian Car dumping is their response

Even for cars owned by someone moving to the US?

That is a different case and FCA has a process for that. It includes providing a ton of documentation and proof 6 weeks in advance...

Tired of -30C and moving to Fumbuck County??

Hey Bob here is the Canadian invoice for that Hellcat. Unfortunately I can only pull it in CDN $$ but using the margin calculation of 7.5% your invoice should net out including the holdback around $69500 less any current incentives being offered. For instance we have $1000 christmas money. If Carmine gets you a friends & family control number the Dealer would receive an additional 2% of invoice back so approximately $1400 so Dead cost to the Dealer after the rebates etc would be approximately $67000 plus taxes. There may be a Military discount but it couldn’t be combined with a friends program. PM me for more info if you like. I downloaded the modern broadcast sheet on it if you want it. Good Luck!

Us Canadians are paying 13% more on an exhange rate of 28% so we are actually getting a better deal than the Americans. At $75495 USD ours should be $96600 CDN reversely you would pay $60800 USD for a Canadian Hellcat at $1.28 exchange at my store on the friends program...just sayin :)

Not as much margin as I thought would be on the high end cars.

According to the greasy car salesmen around here at the "Auto Mile" they try to brow beat you into thinking that they only make $200 per car.

Ouch. You're most likely too upside down to make the numbers work to where you are comfortable. Then again, they need to move cars at year's end.

This dealer does a tremendous internet business on the high end hot rods. He sold the one and the only Demon to a guy in Texas for $140k. The car isn't even here yet.....
