Meet Regina FQ3, a 1970 Polara convertible who turns 51 today

Sighted a few minutes ago. Thank you @71Polara383

Well last night I did a quick vacuum inside and went over everything I could think of. I did a light check and noticed the plate light was out, and one reverse light. Checked fluids, installed a somewhat intact trunk mat (for comparison for future carpet) and packed her trunk with her belongings. Also did a clean up/detail of the entire car. Did a once over with my orbital polisher to enhance the shine. After I was satisfied I cleaned up the wheels, cleaned the white walls and applied some tire shine before calling it a night.

I arrived today with bulbs and got all the lights working. With notice the truck was 10 minutes away, I quickly cleaned the windows and gave the top a quick wipe down with vinyl cleaner and we rolled outside to get loaded up.

Once outside. I watched to make sure the transport guy got her loaded safely and documented the process.

@ayilar can pick up the rest of the story tomorrow. My narration of Regina's story is over...for now.

Wyatt, I have followed this thread and your craftmanship and attention to detail shows everywhere. The great tip on axle housing wear that is not that well known. @ayilar will have many miles of smiles w/ Regina.

Wyatt: You are The Man! Terrific workmanship and attention to detail.

Have the car delivered to my house; I'll perform a final inspection. . .

You said you’d keep her under a hundred. What kind of an inspection would that be? :poke:Ask the dual exhausts :)

Who likes double-stripe tires? Following the advice originally provided by @polara71, I plan to replace the original rubber trunk mat with a properly cut carpet, to avoid possible condensation issues.

Finally had the time to take Regina out this weekend, so I went to several places in MD and Northern VA. Here she is, on Saturday, with the 1970 EB7 TNT ´vert that @Ripinator acquired last year.

On the way back, she passed 102,201 miles. Here’s the odometer 21 miles later, showing 02,2222.0 for symmetry. Notice the position of the speedometer needle, to mark the comma :)

And here is Regina attending the Sully Antique Car Show today. The show is held on Father's Day at the Sully Plantation near Dulles Airport (IAD) in Northern Virginia.
