75kona-- Fun read, going through your posts. I picked up my '68 Fury III from the original owner's family in the early '90s when I was 15 or 16 and your story took me right back to that excitement. Thanks for putting up the pictures of the process. You look like a proud papa.

Now there's the deal of whatever week you pulled the trigger! Congrats again!

Would ya'll believe me if I told ya I only paid $1000.00 for it!?!? :yaayy:

Ok, now I'm a tad bit more than jealous..... What a score.

He told me to make him an offer.... I then told him to throw out what he was looking to get. Let's just say I shook his hand without even dickering!

I can just picture how fast your hand popped out to shake his when he told you what he wanted for the car.

Well I'll take that award with honor! Haha well I couldn't wait.... Pulled the plugs and put some Wd40 down the cylinders and turned it over till I got oil pressure. Topped off the fluids and cranked till I got fuel. Started without hesitation like it ran two days ago!! Took a while for all the webs to burn from on the engine and smoked for a second but cleared up! Aired up the tires and went around the block! Missing a little but 10 year old gas will do that! All gauges are working and it's even charging the battery!!! Half a tank of fuel will be drained in the coming weeks and I'll put a fuel additive in. And I'll do a full fluid flush and change for all components! But it's alive!! I'll post the short video as soon as I get it uploaded!

Kinda a crappy video. Lots of lifter noise but it got quiet after running for a few minutes and it's missing like crazy from old gas! Just got back from the fuel station filled the rest of the tank up with good gas and put a fuel treatment in it. Drove a few miles home and opened it up.... This thing moves!! It cleared up and stopped missing all together!
