OK you truckers...

Dave. You make me laugh out loud. Theirz ah hill on I-15.

between Victorville and San Bernardino That they call Cojon Pass and theirz ah chicken house half way down. I'm headed into L.A. with ah D8 on my back one night and the reportz are that the chicken house iz locked up+litez off so I'm bookin' down the hill. I get MAYBE 150 yardz from the pull off and the lites go and the green arrow sayz I must roll across the plate. I don't have to tell you how much fun it iz to go from 70MPH to 10MPH in ah 150 yardz with 48 bushel on your back and no Jake-Brake. I could barely see the bear for the white cloud when I coasted across the scale but he had hiz back turned to the window or I think I'd still be in the gray bar hotel. He musta been really into what he waz doing 'cuz I waz out and gone and I could still see some of that white cloud until I dropped off the hill and out of sight. I can't believe he didn't smell me 'cuz I could smell 'um when I waz backed into ah hole at the Ontario 76 west bound on I-10. I had to share, Jer

What happened, Jer. Nod off again. :D

I Need a Translation here. Don't understand a single word. ;)

Jer was hauling a bulldozer at a 100 mph.
Was signaled into a weigh station at the last second. Locked everything up shrouding himself in a cloud of brake smoke. Being invisible, the cop never saw him and Jer continued to roll right through.

Lights out coasting past is a nighttime thing in case the non truckers did not get that. Daytime its pull over and put out the triangles, "I don't know what happened it just shut off". If you have iron testicles you can hide in the hammer lane outside of a pre-pass truck. Would like to see the look on the bears face at the chicken house when they hear a Wall-mart truck going by with straight pipes.

I used to pray for the scales to be open.
Being illegally overweight was not part of my job description. Kept the company honest (to a small degree) and me safer.

Ahhhh. Such a difference in philosophies tween O/O's and co. drivers, eh? Lol.

But then the DOT changed the rules and wrote up the driver as well as the company and everything changed.
State Route 15 instead of I-84....

So chicken house is no chick house, I would have blown it. Thanks for Clearing that up.

Klaus. Before the days of interstate hi-ways on this side of the pond. Ports of Entry and Inspection Stations for interstate trucking were in dwellings not much bigger then Outhouses or Chicken coops set up in strategic locations. ergo "chicken coops", Jer

Plus are you chicken to go in there? Overweight, lights out, bald tires. I will always avoid them, better to spend time driving around than to spend time digging a bigger hole explaining yourself and truck. Most of them have had enough college to make them really dangerous with their questions.

I took a Uhaul over the scales. My friend and I were laughing so hard.... you should have seen them screaming to get out of there!

Yeah before that it was Columbia's and before that it was 120 fld
Freightliner was the last to make a COE they should just start again that truck is a COE with a fat lip and a swollen nose.
