OK you truckers...

Drove by this one 2 days ago, some serious force to rip the rear axle free. Roll easy out there.

Looks like an old AM General 6x6.
I'm betting it was used for target practice after beng no longer fit even for the NG.

I don't think so.
4 spd, main (right lever)
2 spd auxiliary (?) (left ever)
2 spd splitter (toggle on dash)

1 . Left stick

you fellers have taught me a lot in this thread and others about shifting multispeed transmissions...I thought I was catching on. this one has set me back ..

1. looking forward to someone confirming how many forward speeds here ..and it looks like he was operating clutch on occasion?

2. video says its 1948 Diamond T .. something like these vintage/restored examples?

My guess,
Aux Lo, Splitter Lo, Main 1
Aux Lo, Splitter Hi, Main 1
Aux Lo, Splitter Lo, Main 2
Aux Lo, Splitter Hi, Main 2
Aux Lo, Splitter Lo, Main 3
Aux Lo, Splitter Hi, Main 3
Aux Lo, Splitter Lo, Main 4
Aux Lo, Splitter Hi, Main 4
Toggle in Hi, repeat Splitter and Main sequence.
Repeat in reverse to downshift.

All done with a LOT of skip shifting.
you fellers have taught me a lot in this thread and
We'll have you driving for Swift in 30 days.

Now anyone can do it ... a bigger pool of lowlife, scum sucking, road trash, pieces of **** that wears sandels while standing on the dock with his thumb up his ***.

shoot man... nobody told me I had to learn this shifting crap AND wear sandals AND stand around all undignified on the dock.

spinnin' a big rig may not be my dream gig after all.

I don't multitask well either... settle for mechanic...but you will have to go home every night, sorry.

Anybody who wants to start out now is nuts.
The pay is crap.
They've dumbed down the job so much that it is an entry level job that makes flipping burgers an upward career move.
Pretty scary that a job that is worse than burger flipping puts you behind the wheel of a rig.
And WTF is this advertising BS that says, Make big money driving for us, when you devide the check by the no. of hrs. they spend on the road and it doesn't even make the minimum wage standard.
This is why the Middle Class is now a myth.
