Old stuff you still use.

Mr. Gasket/Lakewood engine hoist that I bought in 1979 and it has been used much since. The Hein-Werner ram/jack got weak early in its life and was repaired at a hydraulic shop. Retail price was $403 then, but I worked at an auto parts store, and the supplier, American Performance Parts Warehouse. had a deal and I got it for less than jobber price, at about $180. The lift chain is from Mr. Gasket/Lakewood too. We joked that it was made out of Lakewood traction bars, and it is the same color yellow that they were.

Catalog listing. It has done more than its listed rating.

That unit looks very similar to the Builder’s Square compressor that I have. I believe Builder’s Square was part of Kmart. I bought it in 1987 when I bought my first house. The store had a ‘welcome to the neighborhood’ coupon which got me 10% off my first purchase (which included insulation and drywall for the garage)…

aka trouble lights, aka bulb killer, <<<< there I fixed it for ya.

True, although rough service bulbs help lessen the bulb deaths. Luckily about 30-35 years ago, I bought some TRW rough service bulbs, which were old even then, and they work much better than other rough service bulbs. I've had few die over the years, although I don't use these lights as much as I used to and I try not to bang them around too much.

I used to have our family daily drivers equipped with these flush adapter tees full time, but removed them over time and just connect a temporary "jumper" hose in with the tee until flushing is done then remove the tee/jumper, like I did/do on my hobby cars. So, I have a few. These were all purchased in the early 80s, and I still have one unopened kit.
