1948 Flxible in Oshkosh WI. Come up to Iola Car Show in July and/or EAA in August and take her home. She is not mine. 1948 Flxible Clipper

SELLER DESCRIPTION - Asking $45,000

A true American icon from Americas golden industrial age ,when made in America really meant something. Flexibles were noted for their reliability, durability, and efficiency and this unit is a testament to that fact. Converted to a mobile home in the early 60's and in climate controlled storage since 1970. Recently 100's of hours of service were performed to get this unit into a roadable condition. It runs well, drives and stops. With prices in the $250.000.00 range and up for restored units this very well preserved Clipper would be well worth the time effort and $$$. to do so to make it the ultimate continental cruiser. Or it could be used as is with minimal time effort and $. Thanks for looking and feel free to call me with any questions and details. actual vehicle mileage is probably more than listed.

I love thes 40s-50s Flxibles.

We gotta string of em in the earlier posts in this thread While i tend to be a "leg man" these Flxies have nice rear ends too :)

These prices are shocking tho ... gotta resesearch a bit more to get my bearings.

A few more old Flxie "cabooses". I did check prices going back to #791. Good conversions are running $150-$250K a pop.

So they are up there .. but they are among the most unique designs still around. Like PD 4501, fewer than 200 left on the planet, so you likely wont see one at the RV campsites you frequent. :)

For sale last summer in Easley SC for $235K. Same one above in post #794. A "Starliner" -- channeling a bit of PD-4501 :)

My only "beef"with this coach? I'd prefer aluminum wheels all around. Rear are painted steel .. wonder why?

seller texted me more photos tonight.

we've seen this one here. The religious reference on the front... my recollection was stirred with the interior photos but as commando1 noticed the price is way down now.

if it can go 1200 miles under its own power, not lose brakes in the Applachians, etc. maybe??

My Whisperer says I cannot lose here (assuming its a structurally/mechanically solid coach of course otherwise) ... but reminds me there's at a $50K bill here on just interior..

OK... an MCI built in NM... I was trying to figure the GMC connection.

An MCI will never hols a candle to a scenic, style wise... but I bet your whisperer can help you make a sweet rig out of her. I personally like the BB, and for the $$ think you could find a good one to have refurbished. In my mind the advantage would be having something usable, and being able to farm out the jobs as you choose to address them.. The tough part would be keeping from a full blown redo.
