Stormer's 73 Imperial Build

You may want to rethink at how you view us all...
The beauty of this place is there is no one size fits all despite the well justified anti-hoopty sentiment here.

4 speed.... Big tach.... 3.55s in a 9.25"... 450-500 horse 440... Stan, what year is this Road Runner?

Oh... And anti-hoopty all the way here too...

Yea, I'm probably the world's worst husband. My wife puts up with me & I'm usually a dick in return. She gets the shiny stuff but that's not really the point.

Regarding purist vs. non-purist, you guys are too funny. Yea, it is cool as f**k that commando put a 4 speed in a formal. Who could argue with that? But you guys seriously are opposed to putting a bad *** sound system/nav in a car? Nobody even turns the radio on? I have been cranking the **** out of my music on bad *** systems for many years & I don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Dont even get me started on wheels. 15" wheels look just great on the STRICTLY STOCK builds that most of you seem to favor. That's all fine but you can't criticize a guy for modernizing his build, it's just not reasonable. I personally think that too much sidewall is like green appliances. Thats just my taste & I'm not a hater but it's just not for me. You guys act like 18" wheels should be punishable by death & you keep referring to the ridiculous looking 22's with o-rings on them. Of course they look stupid.

Personal taste aside, I love Mopars as much as anyone here.

It's OK man, we love your Imperial, like you, admire your woman's tolerance to the car thing, but just hate the big wheels with minimal sidewalls... That's 3 out of 4... Your golden...

Also you realize we will want to see pictures of the whole process for sure...

Thanks for the hug. ;) I've had a few glasses of wine tonight...

How do you post photos from an iPad?

Hey I'll never hate your car for what your doing to it...it's your car and you can do what you like. I might have personal preferences, but they are irrelevant so long as you own the car. And the fact that your Imp was in such rough shape, and it was more then likely going to end up in a derby, or a wrecking yard with no motor or tranny...I think it's great that your bringing the old girl back.

Keep up the good work!!

As for pics It's easiest to have an on-line hosting site like photobucket...then copy and paste in the post.

I think what you are doing to your Imp is great. None of us are 100% purists. Heck, everyone of us has done some sort of mod(s) to our Mopar's. I would think that the one common complaint is making a C Body look ridiculous with 22's. In my opinion, I think most C's can look good with the right 18's on them. You are taking on a massive project and I wish you good luck.

Stan likes to flex his sarcasm but doesn't seem to pick up on others......................

Posting photos is easy. The trick is you have to shrink the file size a bunch before you post them.

I use Adobe Photoshop to shrink down my pics.....to something like 340w x 255h (pixels) @ 72 dpi. pics come out exactly at 255K. The upload client always excepts my pics that way.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. I did NOT (!!) put on those scoops and wheels.

I know you didn't............I think your taste would be more like a 6 Pack scoop/hood fabrication. :eusa_dance:

I'm confused. Every large picture I've posted directly into this forum gets automatically resized to a suitable size for posting.
Why are you guys having problems?

This was a 1920 X 1080 pic that I simply dragged into my reply.

Stan, I noticed that if I post a picture that is less than 2MB it'll automatically resize. If it is more than 2MB I'll have to use an external resize program before uploading on FCBO.

OK. THAT makes sense. Yous guys are talking about file size, not picture size. Got it. Thanks.
