He made progress..looks like he ran it into a pole . Stans right, with this project we want more photos and need more words. You strung us along all this way, disappear and show us a photo....

Hell, the bluesmobile guy that everyone couldnt stand what he was doing won us all over with his brilliant writing and photos. We need more, hell we've earned it.

Ran into a pole. :laughing4:

Well, as you can see, I pulled everything off the front of the car & then yanked out the engine & trans. Everything was filthy, rusted & a major PIA to remove. I used a couple cans of blaster & had to use a grinder on the inner fenders/ wheelhouse (whatever you call it, thingy) since it had been coated very heavily with some sort of undercoat bullshit. The engine & trans came out pretty easy but I unfortunately had to separate them since the oil pan wouldn't clear the k-member & I had to slide the trans forward to drop the tail.

Once I got everything out of the way, I took a bunch of photos with a tape measure in them & sent them off to Ride Tech. They've never done a C body so it should be interesting.

Not much else to report until I hear back from Ride Tech.

Ride Tech, formerly Air Ride, makes the suspension components that I plan to use. I'm hoping to use as much of their stuff as possible, including control arms, sway bar, steering, etc.

The rear is pretty easy, just a simple 4-link setup. The front is a different story.

I can only imagine the complexity of swapping out the T-bar setup...
Are you going make it pretty while you're at it or just do the conversion as-is, i.e. Sandblasting, powder coating, etc...
