If you ever have the ability to travel to Sweden to see the huge car shows in Västerås and Falkenberg, do it! I'm just back from my Sweden trip with Dan (@ceebuddy) and another friend and it was mind blowing!

The amount of american cars all over Sweden is amazing. You will never see more exner cars in one spot. Ever. Anywhere. !

We drove more then 2500 miles in Dan's black '71 300 to 3 giant car shows, visited 3 american car junk yards, met really nice swedes and had a lot of fun!

Long story short, go to Sweden during summer if you can! It's totally worth it!

I made more then 1100 photos just of cars, feel free to view them all in my Dropbox! I will attach a few to this post, just as a little preview.

I will also post a few vacation photos as well, but have to sort them first.

This one has been on my list for several years now, first found out about on FCBO. I said once i was done with the car I was taking another trip, knew it was too soon to plan for this show this year, maybe next year. A friend and I are planning together but haven't sat down yet to plan.

Don't worry, there were two shows at the same time this year... It's a long story why, but the effect was that onone really knew where to go (they were 160 miles apart from each other). In the last 40 years, there were even more cars in Västeras then this year. I hope they will do the two shows on two separate weekends next year! So your decision to wait was not too bad!

Wow!! What an unbelievable gathering!
Well never see anything like this stateside. Kudos to the Euro group.
My 2 fav finned cars...

I am not sure I could handle seeing all those cars at one time. Since I hardly see any C bodies, much less Forward Look cars at any show in California at least, seeing a show like that would definitely be an overload. Wow! Thank you for sharing so many photos!

If I went to this show I'd have to plan for a few days to travel into Norway to my ancestral home in the Rogaland/Stavanger region. Hmm.

I don't want to start a "which is better" discussion but with up to 10k cars in the years before they split the event the Power Big Meet and the new Västeras Summer Meet are definitely under the biggest shows on the planet!
Wheels and Wings one week later in Falkenberg was as big as the other two! And the numbers doesn't include the modern plastic cars. Mostly 50s and 60s.

You don' have to go to sweden to have fun, but it's stunning to see all these beautiful cars in one spot..!
