Is the VIN from your car stamped on it?

On the engine, yes. Car was built in early June. Not my car (yet). Can not see the VIN pad on photos I have of the bell housing, and not able to get more photos at this stage.

By asking this question, I am thus hopefully hitting two birds with a single stone: one, I am interested in the 10,000-day decoding per se -- so please do tell me if I am correct; two, if the tranny date is indeed April 22, then I also will know that the likelihood is high everything is at it seems (which I believe it is).
