Another Syracuse shot, this not far from my previous post. East Onondaga and South Warren Streets. The Hotel Syracuse (still standing and running after a major makeover) is on the left.

The local radio station WSYR used to broadcast shows out of there... I just got a chuckle from this pic. Side note, my childhood neighbor used to sing on some of these broadcasts.

Detroit from Windsor, 1972 vs 2022. Arrows mark a few significant buildings in both pics. View is South to North.

The "elephant on the Detroit River" (right foreground in 2022 pic) is the former Renaissance Center (built in 1975), now GM World Headquarters.

In the 1972 picture, upper right middle background, on horizon 5 miles away, is the Fisher Building, across the street from the original GM World HQ 50 years ago.

Downtown Detroit, "Campus Martius" (created in 1847, was a marsh, paved over in 1900) in the heart of the city.

1917 vs today, hardly anything recognizable in the structures, and surely not the mix of horses, cars, street cars, pedestrians and NO stop lights,,

I am not even from Los Angeles but been here enough to be fascinated.

A short, four-minute video, split screen style of approximately SAME position on the road, of 1940's film driving around LA that was duplicated in 2010's seventy years later. Might prove very interesting to folks who live/lived there.

1,000's of still photos could be extracted like I did below.
