When I sold my cars here it was to do my best to ensure they went to good home. I was willing to take less to do that.

I say status quo.

I don't think the whole site needs to change for the sake of political correctness. People need to grow a skin.

I would want to hear any negative feedback to help me see the car the way others do, hmm. Let's put it to the test. I have my GT for sale at $23 000, you all know the car, give me some feedback!

Without knowing what's original/authentic to this model, my take is to lose the hood stripes and have a solid side stripe and lose the white letter tires - but they wouldn't stop me buying it if it was what I wanted, just things I wouldn't necessarily have on a car I did myself. All the best with your beautiful car.

I for one say tell it like it is ... Good / Bad / or Indifferent

I feel that we as C-Body owners and or aficionados and active members of FCBO have the moral duty and obligation to present a accurate experienced opinion of any and all C-Body cars that pass by this site.

I am not sure what the reason is for even generating the survey? Even if a new policy was adopted, it would maybe last a week before it wouldn't be enforced anyway. Trying to limit people from saying what they think is usually pointless anyway. This is the internet afterall. And it takes a lot to be banned from this site.

When I have a car for sale, I never list it here anyway. People here are generally full up, cheapskates and/or just wishful thinkers. Other outlets have a much higher potential for generating serious buyers.

Speak for yerself pops, I can remember hot-pink double-wipers. Class of '90 rulez!
Thanks... but you're catching up...

I'm on my for the up close inspection and test drive... You'll take a check, right?

Wow, miss a day on this forum and you get the hell surprised out of you. Now here is my take on this thread, as long as the comments good or bad are kept respectful you should be able to say what you want. There are certain cars that if the owner wanted to sell would be worth more than they would ask, but the documentation backs it up, then there are the customized cars, that drive people crazy, and then there are the cars "Flippers" get their hands on and try to make a fortune on. So if a car is worth a certain price the comments good or bad will bring that point out.

Remember this car? we drove it around the block in a couple of threads in 2015. '66 T&C, 383, advertised 82K miles, power rear window, working AC, two-owner, documented.

I know nothing about wagons so I was NOT in the conversation. Assume the car is as clean as it appears. What do you think its worth? My guess was $20K. Asking price is below the pics.

Seller had $35K BIN on it on Ebay. A few of us here that commented thought $10K was tops for this one. Hmm...

$35K is a lot, maybe closer to $20K is reasonable, but consider the cost of buying one and bringing it up to this standard and maybe the price isn't that bad after all.

Considering say $90 - $100 an hour labor, $5-8K (guessing for the interior) - makes you wonder. Then again I have to pay someone a lot of members can do it themselves.

I am in the same boat. :) In my case, its "five star wishes" and "one star skills". So that is in my calculation - the labor investment in restoration.

Even if I could do it all labor wise, and given a reasonable starting point and acquistion of a car I didnt own, i was not sure $10K would yield THIS specimen.

So for me, it was worth $20K

30K miles, 440. new tires, garage kept apparently. Before you go look and comment if you choose, any guess on asking price?

I think there's a few folks on here that still have the first nickle they made, so I don't take some of the low ball estimates real serious.

Dave (Polara71) and I have the same philosophy about this. If it's the car you want, it's really all about how much you will pay for it. I paid more than a lot of people would for my 70 300. It was first of all, the car I wanted. It was in the right location and I knew the history. It was ready to drive and have some fun in just the way it sat and I could afford it. Since then I've put more $$ into paint and a few other things. I'll never recover the cost.... But I'm not into it for money either, so I don't care.

IF I were in the market for a formal

I'm not a body man so I've got to pay to have the body work and paint done. Talked to a restoration shop about having this done yesterday and it wasn't pretty. I like the price, is it Christmas?

Any comments on cars for sale are only opinions. Market will determine price. I assume we're all at least old enough to drive so by this point everyone should have learned an important life lesson, you should solicit opinions to make the best decision but in the end, it's your decision and other opinions don't really matter.
