Glad to hear you got it figured out.Thanks for the help on my dead car electrical problem. It turned out to be the battery ground cable connection at my compressor frame, worked fine until it didn't. I moved the cable to an exhaust manifold bolt and that fixed everything. I will put the details on my project thread.

And here I thought it was just me, I put KYB’s on my 77 last summer, one went in with no problem, the second one was an SOB, like you guys I had a zip tie, curse a lot and it finally went in. What the heck?took apart the whole front end just to make the shocks have enough room to come out

Opposite For me. Drives side NP.. passenger side was an SOB.i had exactly the same problem i been wondering wth all day long. passenger side was nothin. driver side took the rest of the day.
