What did you do to your C-body today....

IIRC, you can turn one of those contacts. I've seen them on eBay from time to time.
The terminal stud has an angled head so is directional.
Getting the right search criteria on EBay is key.

I picked up these Jensen Interceptor valve covers in 2006. I always thought they were one of the nicest looking B/RB valve covers and they match the air cleaner lid on my Windsor pretty well. Their relative rarity adds to the cool factor as well. :) But if I had known then what a lousy casting they are and how much work it would be to get the look I wanted, I may not have bothered.

To make a long story short, I puttered around with cleaning and polishing them occasionally until 2011. Then they sat in a box unfinished for 9 years. I just got them out again and finished polishing them to a level I'm happy with. Today I picked up some extra long 1/4-20 bolts to attach them to the heads, so hopefully they'll be on my Windsor by this weekend.

Yes, I ended up buying parts car. Too hard headed to quit now. New metal going in. Also slammed hood on my phone. The hood won. I’m no welder but this will hold.

Rebuilt my calipers in preparation for drum to disc conversion Not going to paint them. Leaving the 'patina' look, but did knock off the heavier rust/dirt/grime. Honed the bores...nice and clean, then new pistons, o'rings, (square ring), and dust seals. OMG...dust seals were a PITA, but know how to do it easily/quickly if needed now. First dust seal took forever, 2nd seal only a couple minutes after I figured it out.

Took apart and fixed both doors [2 door Fury] window regulators, re doing some suspect wiring and installed a power brake booster. Next is to get the 1/4 rear window regulators to work well. Then off to the dash to see if my voltage reducer is bad and get my fuel and temp gauges working with a new electronic voltage reducer. Replace bulbs and bypass my Ammeter. Just little stuff.

Took a 14 hr drive on Monday to see our 2 older kids that live in Nashville TN, Got back yesterday to see my New Leafs w/hardware from “Springs and things” for Ginger.. if familiar! You notice the front Part of leafs are Round W/bushings pressed in vis the OE oval style bushings. Rear bushings push in easy with the shackles. Manufacturer said no issues with the new style when installing.. we’ll see!

Finished my starter re build last night. Turns at least twice as fast now cleaned up with new bushings.

Took a little cruise this morning to Menards. To get some electrical stuff and pool salt. (I wiped the trunk down really good after I unloaded it.)
Who says you can’t get an 8 ft electrical ground rod in the car.

Took the Cicada and put on over 200 miles to get some parts for another member. I got to play in the rain with no wipers, and had to reapply RainX on my return voyage.

The way there.

Got my 66 fury started (only for a minute) and learned more about it.

The car was parked in 1998 (I remember seeing this car when I was in high school in the early 2000s) and it sat in the same spot until I cut all the trees around it and dug it out in August of 2018.

I greased each cylinder and pulled the distibutor and turned the oil pump for 10 minutes with a drill the evening before I attempted to turn the engine.

I connected a battery and DEAD
Replaced the battery cables and ran a hot wire to the coil .... DEAD.
replaced the starter and it fired but I couldn't keep it running and the carb gushed gas everywhere.

At least i know it's a good poly, sounded good for the minute.

Well, after what seemed like forever I've got everything back in under the hood of the NYer after the timing chain replacement and motor mounts. It seemed to be one silly thing after another plus cold weather causing delays. Fill the coolant and change the oil and filter before starting. Then there are numerous other projects that need gottten after.

Installed my Retro-Sound speakers and converted Tayman radio in the Monaco. (Speakers fit perfectly I’ll add) But the spare tire mount location didn’t help. Ouch.
While dash was apart I finally installed the new dash pad purchased a couple years ago.
Then dyed the carpet pieces on console, door and kick panels to match the new carpet.
Yeah, its finally warming up in Michigan. Even in Lansing!

Changed the oil and greased the the steering and ball joints. Ready for a top down cruise tonight!
