Belive this one is Bill Furys "The Rod" 440 l think but not U code..probally a T code ...if l remember correctly U code wasn't available 1970 in the GT.. not a 6BBL
the 6BBL designation can also be found on both front fenders by the signal light

The 1971 GT has only got a production run of 375 vehicles compared to the 70 model of 666, the S23 had 689 production. As for desirability and value i think the 70 model still has it over the 71.

Thank you.... hood then. I have never seen one in person

19 polara convertible 383-4 cars and I've seen 3 of those

No, only one.

The black one is Dans.....was Dans car. He single handedly put them on the map

Is there any other fun facts about these super rare cars that we haven't talked about?

there were plans for a 6bbl 71 GT to point you can find 1971-440 6bll decal listings in the parts book....almost went that route and even had air cleaner issues sorted out includeing decal package...then you folks made me change my mind....

Out of the 61 made how many of these 6 bbl's do you could possibly still be alive?

Wow! Looks very good so far.
Dave does excellent work, car was one step from a basket case, he's owned it since the early 80's, he actually bought a rustfree-ish sport fury from the south then had it sand blasted and epoxy primed, he had the good metal cut from the parts car, then put in the V codes body, he would not re-body the car, and I agree 100% with him that it is wrong.
