Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

A gray squirrel can squeeze through a hole the size of a quarter.

I had a RV that squirrels got into over a winter and they destroyed it.
Squirrels made me as much or more money than rats in electrical damage too... just another nasty little rodent... don't tell me they're cute.

Seriously, I love squirrels. I feed the family that lives in my front yard tree. Cutest lil bastards.
Im not worried about my cars. The neighbor's cat sleeps on the roof of my cars...
Good, kitty.

A little bit of an update, I have ordered some more parts and am waiting for them to arrive. I also had a look over the chassis in my car and I may go and buy some plate steel and repair the thing rather than get another car for a replacement. As for the pics, I painted the bring parts with stainless steel color hoping to get a natural metal look but it just looks like silver to me. Oh well. As for the trunk, I smeared in new seam sealer then put a coat of primer in. I bought a can of grey spatter paint from AdvanceAuto and as you can see from the picture, it covers like crap. I will have to find another product to do that. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I did quite well with Dupli-Color splatter paint. High solids content in my opinion in using it.
Oh, I just checked my can, it is Duplicolor. Is it supposed to be see through like mine? that's red primer underneath you can see.

Is it this can?

I didn't have to deal with red primer as my trunk showed only a little surface rust near the back where you attach the jack. The majority of my trunk had a lot of white overspray on it with the gray splatter around the perimeter and up the wheel housings.

I am always awestruck by your very high level of effort and excellent craftsmanship. Way-ta-go, man !

Thanks Rip, I am doing my best to do the car justice as well as keep it looking period correct, I could go the whole concourse resto bit but then I would take away a lot of the originality that is still intact in the car. I also don't want to be too scared to drive it whenever the urge catches me. I know with the RT Charger I have once it is done I would be driving it sparingly.

So today I used up another can of spatter finish, Im still not happy with the result, so I am going to leave it for now. I will work on it again later.

Next up is to do the engine and gearbox so I pulled it from the car and took the gearbox off the back. then put it on an engine stand.

Are you at least shaking the can?
I found the second can that came out good I shook for two minutes so I did that with the new can, it came out crappy like the first can, I seem to have a hit and miss affair with this product.
