Thanks. Hopefully this one checks out. I’m anxious to put it all together!I have a 225 block dated 5/14/70 if you want it.
I’ve already taken another block to the machine shop. Should know something soon.,Let me know. Hopefully you get your engine sorted out.
I tried posting it on this thread but It didn’t take or somethingOh ok. Cool!
Did you ever find a vin stamp on the slanty motor? It’s not on the deck, if that’s where it should be.

I agree. I’m pretty experienced with the /6. Why anyone would go to the trouble of putting a used one on is beyond me. Hard enough to get a new one to seal up!The intake and exhaust manifolds are the weak spots on an otherwise very tough engine. When I was looking for parts for my cars, every time I found a /6 in a yard, both were taken, almost on every one I saw.
Got to make you wonder what the casting looks like in areas that you can't see, or can see, but cannot access easily to fix. Looking good anyway!I gasket matched and blended it a little. It was pretty rough. I might touch it up some more when I have more time.
Go ahead and take a moment to appreciate the genius of my dust collection system!

I thought the same thing. I believe it will flow as good as the original now. Fortunately it’s not a performance build!Got to make you wonder what the casting looks like in areas that you can't see, or can see, but cannot access easily to fix. Looking good anyway!
