Original Mounting bolts have 5/16 coarse thread with 5/8" thread length. Need to go to 3/4" thread length to accommodate the thicker gasket. 3/4" diameter washers. Pulled out the 5/16 bolt can and came up with this. Cleaned all on wire wheel:

Inlaws return at 11am tomorrow. Good people. Hope to get Fury started and test driven before then.

Looking good mate! I'll be able to ride shotgun then next month...ahem lol
You bet, mo chara! If we were running moonshine, I'd equip you with my shotgun, just in case Johnny Law wanted to **** with us. Blast his tires and head for our sales meeting.

Thus far no leaks, but took 6 quarts rather than 5.5 I expected. Same dipstick and tube. Maybe pan gives more than 1 additional quart capacity. Pan waited 31 years to be used, but finally it's mounted on a car, where it belongs.

Very nice car. Dog dish caps always look cool. Interesting that you found it in Indiana and took it to Virginia. I did exactly the opposite with my Newport.

Looks like you have a lot of Mopars there. Nice LH, too congrats again.
We're a Chrysler family, Mike. Have been for years.

With 1 exception, I have a 2005 Mustang GT Black/Black convertible 5-speed in the garage. Made in USA with 4.6 V8 engine made in USA.

:( Challenger made in Canada, 5.7 hemi V8 hecho de Saltillo Mexico :(

BTW: no trans pan leaks thus far.

I see a Sebring there. Does it have a 2.0l or 2.7l v6?

Hi ImpJay. It has the 2.7 V6. The car is fast and reliable. 76K miles and no water pump failures, but I do keep a close eye on the oil color/condition and on the weep hole at the front edge of the block. (don't think 2.0 was a US option. We had the 2.4L 4-cyl)

Family member dinged the rear bumper fascia. Going junkyarding this weekend.

We have a silver `04 here with the same engine. Its lower ball joints aren´t too reliable.

Haven't had suspension problems. Excellent handling car. How many kilometers are on yours?

72 Fury: developed small radiator leak this morning. 25°F was too much for my 46 year old radiator.

About 148K. Here´s a couple of pics, you´d like to see it. Sorry for off-topic.

Original 22 inch radiator: leaking at top edge of bottom tank, rear center. Trying to decide whether to buy aluminum or recore.

It is recommended the water pump be replaced at 80K miles and i would say yes yes yes. My 2002 Intrepid is 96K miles on it and it had water in the oil, so I replaced the water pump and while doing so did the timing chain and oil pump all at once, cost about $140 for the kit to do it all. Definitely recommended. Change that oil religiously every 2500 or 3K miles too, top quality oil and filter too. It is a must, the oil pans on these engines are tiny.

Aluminum is very cheap way to go, mind you, doesn't it already have an aluminum core? My Intrepid is aluminum.
