Chrysler's at Carlisle 2013

Looking on line and there are about 30 hotels in the Carlisle area that still have rooms avaiable. Tommorrow I'm going to check with my sisters in NY to make sure those dates are good for me to visit and if so I'll make reservations tommorrow night. Looking forward to meeting all you back east guys.

When it gets closer we'll have to come up with a time and place to all meet. At this point I'm not sure if I'm comming by myself or not but I know I'll be there.

Sure thing. I've met a few people already on FCBO. Mike (Newp), Dave (Polara 71) and Matt (Detmatt). I probably walked past or talked to several others on FCBO at Carlisle over the years and didn't know it.

Ya, although I regret getting there a bit late, I bet I did the same thing the days I did manage to be there.

I look forward to it as well. That's impressive, probably twice as far as Stan will be traveling to get there...

Last time I went we drove the 65 Coronet 500 convertible from here to North Carolina and traveled the entire length of the Blue Ridge parkway and Sky line drive in Virginia, a total of 574 miles Took two full days. Total trip is 850 miles one way. We're planning on doing the same thing in Jezabelle this summer.

I'm not sure if we enjoy the journey or the destination best.

Nice I plan to drive the Skyline from North to South and then jumping on the Blue Ridge Parkway and driving it til the end.

Its a great trip Bob, I've done it twice now. Max speed is 45, lots of twists and turns and breathtaking vistas. There are plenty of quant motels along the way and lots of interesting turn offs with picnic areas to enjoy. Plan on at least two days for the entire drive. OHhhh.... take a camara.

Thank Will! I've driven Skyline Drive about 10 times already. I have a trail book and hike 3 trails every time I go. One easy, one moderate, and one difficult trail. I've never been on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I went one time to get on it and it was closed due to fog. I have binder with full page map sections. I want to do this trip this spring right about the March/April time frame.

Is there plenty of motorhome parking at the show? Not overnight, just during the day.

Gents,

I was doing the Google thing and Carlisle and found a picture of my car at the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals, July 12, 2003.

Probably not on the fairgrounds. They do have a parking/camping area across from the grounds. I would give them a call and see what they say, to be certain. Ross, if you never been there its interesting, almost every house within walking distance allows parking on their lawn, for a fee of course, usually ten bucks. I dont know about a bus though

That's pretty cool, USMC.

Has anybody else found a pic of their car online that they themselves didn't take?
