That's not a bad thing at all.

Replacement block is one likely possibility. I'm not sure if the engines used in RVs or larger trucks got stamped, but more likely that was a warranty replacement short block or complete engine.

If you were starting from scratch, I'd say that was the one to build rather than the 383, but that's done. Don't give it away, you should be able to get more $$ for it, especially not stamped.

Thanks for the help in identifying what the motor is. Hopefully someone will need the motor for their project.
