I'll start the official Carlisle thread

You mean she dosen't enjoy dining at Dukes riviera supper club ..... under the grandstand ....?

Then theres the Amish chicken corn soup ..... A must have.

She's really not fussy.... and except for one breakfast place under the grandstand that shall not be named, she likes the food at Carlisle. But... after putting up with me doing Carlisle stuff all day, taking her out for a nice dinner makes her happy. She likes the Appalachian Brewing Company and Leeds.

I have an Uncle in NC that I know has a warm bed and empty spot in the driveway. QUOTE]
You need to get out more Nick. NC is not between Ohio and Penn.
I know it's not between OH and PA, it's North East of PA, I've been saying I'd like to come down and stay a few days with him anyway.
You're young, get a camping spot on the grounds.

I'll bet the mileage to your uncles from Carlisle is about the same as where you are now.
Fairly close, about 50 miles less to go to NC from PA, then from ON to PA, I've done the camping thing before, might just do that.

Nick

Well, since my girlfriend is going to Carlisle this year...I changed hotels so she'll have a great time and might want to go again.

Since she has agreed to go to the show AND the ProMod race I made reservations at the Hilton in Harrisburg to make her car weekend a little more pleasant. I've been messing with her telling her we'll have to take guns with us to keep the crack heads and hookers away from the NYB. We are taking vacation the week following the show. Haven't decided which direction we'll go after the show. She wants to go to Wisconsin.

I agree taking vacation after Carlisle. I think going to Wisconsin will be the best bet.....a lot cooler. I plan on driving the NYB to Wisconsin again.

A Rambler is the way to go to Wisconsin, actually. :)

The AMC plants in Milwaukee and Kenosha have been torn down years ago....

Damn shame.........I was there in 2004 for the AMC 50th anniv show on the lake, blocks and blocks of factory buildings were still there, a few still being used. Now everyone works in the damn service industry and you can't run a household on such a salary.

I still can't believe that both plants were saved as historic sites and/or re-purposed. IIRC, the Kenosha plant was torn down for parking space.

The Packard plant in Detroit was declared a national historic site back in the 80's ...... Go look at it now...!

:tantrum::tantrum: Looks like I won't get to meet you guys until 2015. Circumstances have caused me to cancel for this year. Some lucky guy on the waiting list for the Holiday Inn is going to be real happy.

I'll be there Thursday through Sunday. I hope I get a chance to meet some of you. Is there a tent or designated meeting place for FCBO like some other boards have?

No, there really isn't an official tent. Since 2011 I have volunteered my tent as the unofficial meeting place...........Water, Gatorade, soda pop and snacks abound, plus lots of shade.
