Spent the night on the road... cheap motel room, but the first time I have been allowed to smoke without going outside all trip. The biggest thing was I was able to sit and think without somebody talking at me...

SSS... of to Mom's and then crating and Fastenal (I hope). I want to try to get back to the Imperial tonight... see if my "new" gas tank helps.

Disassembled for packing...

The lenses are still pretty decent, the screws were perfect.

This is the master cylinder from the earlier finds... I pried the cap off...rusty, slimy but a build core for the proper 4 disc Imperials. Below are pics of the crap I'm taking to Fastenal tomorrow am... everything behind the driver seat is hopefully going to fit in my crate... which I will have to assemble there because it no way would fit otherwise... I knew I wanted a pickup.

I know @shooter65 had offered his services... but I really just chased my tail all morning... I had a slightly late start, enjoyed my quite time at the hotel too much... oh and this... diner last nigh was a cold can of Bushes beans and I cracked open the Carlisle bottle...

The fella I bought the last batch of stuff from is an Imperial fan... just a little older... His son sells stuff on EBay as "Imp On The Loose"... I think I've seen that handle in here before too. I met the son, but my deal was with the father... both were good guys, it was my pleasure to meet them. The $$ were very fair.

They are parting this one...

This one has rear air... They have a big lot of parts for these cars... their focus is on three years, but they might take an opportunity with something else when it presents itself.

BTW, they are aware of the pics and where they are posted... I try to be straightforward about that.

The red Newport has been sitting in the same spot all summer, I don't think it's moved. I haven't been able to find the owner. I left a note once but no response, I may leave another note because it rained shortly after that. I'm not interested in the car but I'm worried that it might end up sitting there all winter too. I'd hate to see it rot away in that spot, the rear quarters have some rot. It's next door to the WindHaven Bar but that's not part of the bar's parking lot.
