new law for only 2 cars per driveway in minneapolis

I think I just made a forum thread all time low point...a photo of a wheelbarrow of frozen yum yums.

Garbage, you put that in the garbage and you don't have a wheelbarrow full of it. I have one dog, and she poops more than enough. You ha e three dogs and that's what you get (keep?). I can just imagine what Dave @polara71 could pile up!

My flat coat retriever I had 20 years ago, would go into the woods to do this business, it was like he was embarrassed to be seen by anyone, funniest thing ever.

"Mama doesn't want to pick up your doo-doo, go on the neighbors yard, good dog." Same people who don't pick up after their dogs on the walking trails.

I once came home from work and saw Mama walk her favorite dog across the court and up the grass on the other side of the house. I yelled at her to get off the property. A week later I am outside at 10:30 pm tightening down a line on one of the car covers. I'm in the dark and see her again walk the dog across the court to the same place as the week before. I proceeded to quietly make my way along the face of the house behind the ornamental bushes to within 10 feet of her and the dog without being noticed before I yelled at her. Heart attack! She no longer walks her favorite along the sidewalk in front of my house.

This leads to an interesting dilemma that unfolds and circles back to the initial topic of control...the city ordinance/HOA states garbage containers must be stored inside garage...do you know what the trails of 3 dogs smell like inside your garage next to your c body when it's warm out?

Another reason I won't ever belong to a HOA, I'd make their life hell while dealing with me, til my blood pressure was through the roof and my heart explodes. I don't like people telling me what to do, or what I can't do.

3 dogs worth of "treasure" in a garage? Whew, I don't want to imagine!

Short answer is I bury it when I can.

no overnight parking on the street?
Not even for registerred/liscensed cars?

Sometimes cars park for weeks on the street in germany not being used.
All fine as long has it is liscensed and has inspection.

No vans with logos on your own property?
WTF?

There seem to be some real strange laws out there in the good old USA

Oh yeah. Ever since i mived here i keep scratching my head at things wondering "why does someone care about what soneone else does on their property...its not even their business". I wouldnt care if my neighbor has 1, 2 or 20 cars on his property. Heck, he could have a spaceship in his frontyard and i wouldnt give a crap...since its his property. Id be pissed however if he wakes me up at 5am with an angle grinder... But that's unrelated... I just dont get it, what puss_ has no other problems than to worry how someone elses property look like!? Thats why i am saying, i would go through all the hoops building a wall around my property and stuff.

Then this sounds just like the neighborhood for you!

"Junk Man" Out Of Prison, Promises More Statues.

This guy has been pissing off Seminole County for decades.
I guess it's his way of fighting 'Sprawl'.

That picture they showed during the story, wow! That place is a disaster! (Pun if you watched the video) Gotta love the guys amount of ambition. Sadly, I think he will live up to his word.

I just looked the story over quickly, those law makers would have lost there minds when I was younger. I have 3 brothers and a sister. 4 of us had cars plus 2 for my parents. In the summer 2 were in the garage and 4 on the street. In the winter 2 in the garage and 4 in the driveway or on the side of then garage.

Same here. Five boys and dad’s two cars meant a lot of cars in the driveway. I started out jockeying cars around long before i had a license. There were a lot of big families in the sub back in those days. Fortunately our driveways were longer also.

I agree with all posts indicating greedy Home Owners Association members and greedy realtors and greedy real estate investors. Unfortunately, selfish greed means restricting a neighbor's right to use his own property - that he is paid for - as he wishes. These people have lost their concept of freedom and replaced it with a me-first attitude. Thomas Jefferson's concepts of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are foreign to them.

Too many HOAs and City Councils filled with housewives with nothing better to do. My city council used to be full of them ‘till developers sued them. And won!

Yep here's some of the bright highlights.

Once, when a judge ordered him to move the trash from his yard, he did — by putting it on the roof of his house.

Sheriff's officials say Davis has racked up close to $2 million in code-enforcement fines over a number of years for having trash and debris, inoperable vehicles and overgrown vegetation on his property.

Alan Davis: 'Everything they took, they claim is a violation of county code. That may be, except I don't have to follow county code. They can kiss my ***.'

LOL True Florida Cracker he is "They can all kiss my ***".

He is married but I've never seen any images of his 'ahem' better half...

Seminole County is just west of me, but here in Volusia County we have our own bright stars mostly of the old lady cat/pet hoarding type.

All of you stay in the city or suburbs. You made your bed now lay in it. Don't cry to me. All of you want to come out to the country because some builder got a parcel of property and jammed 30 houses on it, you buy one and then you want all the country goings on around you to stop, F off you should have stayed in the city. My one and only "neighbor" is far enough away that my truck running for 20 min in the morning does not bother him. Come build a house across the street then start bitching because that straight stacked Peterbilt starts up and runs at 3:30am for 20-30 min. I can't wait I will be the worst neighbor you have ever met. Then I'm selling this unfinished house to section8, come on you don't have a hair on your *** to buy the property across the road and build.
Section 8 won't want your house if it's not on the bus line.

I believe she was in the background when he was cutting weeds. Idk

That's his daughter, most of the news reports I've seen just showed his wife talking through a cracked door. BUT whola! Google Results, for this old 48 Hours program clip of his younger days that has the wife & daughter in it.

48 Hours Alan Davis

This is just Florida Cracker response to encroaching Yankee sprawl. Most just sell out and move inland to more rural areas or back up to Georgia etc.
Most of my friends that I had when I lived in the Sarasota/Bradenton area sold out and moved to Alabama when the new Interstate (I-75) brought in massive sprawl making it just horrendous to live there. Their kids are still around in the area but the parents couldn't tolerate it any more. Last time I visited in the late 80's I just said WTF. Same thing is going on around where I live now. We've developed a saying, A New Yorker see's a green lot, and say's "You need to build something!" A New Yorker see's blue sky and say's "You need to build something TALL!"
