What's the date on that milk???

When I was a kid, we didn't have mayonnaise. We were so poor we had to use white paste we stole from school.

Gary, I think my gallon of milk is now ready as an excellent gasket sealer...

Forgot to mention the eggs.
Let me know if I should fix you a package with liver and blood sausage in return for the US-CARE packages from the past. ;)

Thanks. Yea I have sealant. I want avoid the mess the next time around so great I can ditch these paper gaskets.

Are your paper gaskets the thin ones .... ?
I like to glue one on top and one on the bottom on both sides of the valley pan. once set you should file the paper gaskets to match the valley pan ports. Tack spray the pan & gasket to the heads and set the intake on, then torque to spec. A dab of red locker will assure the settings won't change.

That they be, Wil. I'm kind of at a precipice. Once I bolt the intake down I don't want to have to take apart again b/c its not sealing properly. Big PITA. Your method definately sounds precise, which I like....and obviously it has worked for you. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Coming right along, however come to a little snafu....something I knew was gonna come up do to the height difference. I have this just "mocked up" with some garage doo-dads to keep in in place but clearly its going to need a taller bracket to mount at the base of the intake manifold as well as taller/longer trans throttle rod...I haven't started looking yet. Any parts house selling the bracket? Im afraid to ask about the trans throttle rod.....
