"The solvents in the splatter are breaking down the undercoating"
:poke:

I'm sorry. Thst wasn't nice of me... :(
But funny as hell. :p

All good:thumbsup:

Its still a bit blotchy, but f#c& it! Its good enough lol.

Shouldnt rust anytime in the next 100+ years! Very thick coat of rust bullet, seam sealer, 2 quarts of undercoating, 1 can of primer, and 11 cans of spatter.

After a couple weeks of drying the undercoating still made its way through the spatter in a couple spots. Even after a coat of primer before the spatter. Oh well. I'm done with it lol. 11 cans of spatter already in there. No more! Last weekend I clear coated everything, and looking as good as its going to get.

My new trunk mat material showed up. Used what was left of the old mat as a stencil. New mat is an inch and a half short on the passenger side. Couldn't get any wider material. Can't really tell though unless your looking for it. Also cleaned, and painted the cardboard trunk dress up shields. I'm pretty happy with it. Will look much better with the new paint, and trunk weather stripping.

Where are you getting trunk weatherstripping and what part number?

I need the cardboard trunk dressups as well. Did you handmake them or prefab?

They are original to the car. They are surprisingly is pretty decent shape still. Have a couple deep scratches, and one of the holes for the tabs to grab is tore, but not bad considering.

Don't think they would be too hard to make.

I just finished reading through the whole thread, the trunk turned out great. Now time to get working on finishing the body work. Great progress

Thanks! Body work is obviously on the list. Been slinging a bit of bondo a work here lately. Kind of kills the vibe to come home, and do it on the car too lol

Should be picking up a cherry picker, and load leveler next pay day. Gonna yank the 360, and start cleaning/painting the stub, and under hood. Also wanna install a new steering gear with the motor out. Should make it a bit easier.

360 getting ready to come out. Spent today removing the wiring harness, a/c, hood, and cooling system. Exhaust coming out tomorrow. Anyone need a small block y-pipe for a formal?

Picked up a cherry picker, and load leveler friday.

Got her out today! The 360 has left the building! lol. Nothing got harmed luckily. The bumper did have to come off though. Not quite enough reach with it on.

The 360 is going to a fellow member. Will be getting put on a pallet, and shipped here soon.

Kinda like this picture. Looks like the car is starring at its own heart like WTH?? lol

Now on to the front suspension, and paint. Then get the cop motor installed!

Fixed it for you

Seriously great updates. I really like your load leveler with the built in handle. I have an old with a built in handle I need to work on ... needs some chains.

I would shorten up the chain on the cherry picker, it will give you a little more lift height.

Sounds much better! And true! lol Got a set of police T bars replacing the original bars. Also want to get a meaty front sway bar from firm feel.

Load leveler worked great!

I contemplated it for a min before lifting the engine out. But I have to cut the chain to shorten it. Might have to for the BB.
